Re: FS: Moving Sale - 405nm, 445nm, 650nm lasers - Lowered Price! (really want a 589!

Alright sounds good to me... You managed to rectify the problem of the extra charges for sending to Singapore? As for paying in Canadian dollars well, I suppose paying extra 6USD is fine with me... Just to comfirm i got the right idea, you are offering 3 pointers to me for 330CAD + 50USD(to LPF) with Express Shipping included?

And as for the changes on the 445, I am getting the idea that you have swapped a less effective lens for better drivers?

How did you know my weakness!?!?!?! I just love STAINLESS STEEL POINTERS!!! but i think i feel in love with the wrong one.. (eyeing the little baby on the extreme left)... if not maybe i would just get the black aurora.. I kinda when overboard in laser shopping.. think i spend 1000 on a single night.. ( i cant control myself i keep seeing nicer stainless steel builds one after another... hmm and somehow i only see nicer ones after i completed transaction for the previous ones.. wonder why??,.. ) also maybe we should bring this to PM.. i tend to crap a lot when making a decision to buy...

No I didn't :( But if you were buying 2 lasers from me, I'd just pay the high cost myself.

Nope - same Aixiz lens. Just doesn't have that nice big focus ring. But focus rings just screw onto the lens, they dont change the lens itself.

i tend to crap a lot when making a decision to buy...

lol, lasers are a bad addiction - I understand completely! The laser on the left is definitely not for sale. That guy will never leave my collection. :)

While you think about stuff - I'll go take photos of the silver guidesman, and subject it to an LPM'ing :)

I lowered the prices again.

$300 for the set of matching 405, 445, and 660
or $140 for the 405 or 445 on their own.

If nobody is interested at this price, I think I'll close the thread and keep them ;)

The 650 and 445 are "tentatively sold" to Belphegor - pending payment details.

Man, when I saw these I thought they would be gone in 5 minutes. Very surprising it hasn't sold already.

In the interest of openness and full disclosure -

The 445 is still unpaid for, and there are two additional people that have contacted me to purchase it. What I've said to them is that the first to send payment can have the 445 - and I'll update the thread here once that has happened, to avoid two payments coming in for the same thing. The same offer would be open to anyone else interested (although you'd need to get my PP address first, and I plan to go watch Big Bang Theory now ;))

This is the fairest way I could think of to do things, since the "pending sale" sort of locks up a laser, when other people are interested.

Just the Aurora for sale here now.

May put the hotlights up separately when I figure out if they're really sold or not :)

I know it's asking a bit much... but can you post a picture of your driver, or at least explain the set-up? I try to build tiny 1117 drivers all the time... but they never seem to want to cooperate. Generally, they just go straight to around 2.3A or so and won't regulate.... And then they get really hot and I have to shut 'em off.

Whodunit:
The set has sold, sorry - The aurora may still be available. I'll know this evening.

Wolf:
I wouldn't want to disassemble this. However, I'm going to use an LM1117 for my upcoming 635 build, so I'll document it with photos then :)

Awesome - sounds good.

Because the general set-up I do is put an SMD resistor directly connecting the output and adj leads, and then I just connect the adj end to the output + and connect a diode and a cap to the + out as well, and then connect the out - and the diode and cap - to the same ground... and of course a cap at the input. But until recently, I wasn't doing the cap at the input, so maybe that did it? And I need to parallel the cap with the input, right?

EDIT: And what is the dropout voltage of an entire LM1117 driver...? And I take it you are using 2x RCR123As for this build instead of a single 18650? Because... voltage requirements and stuff for 405s =p

You've got the setup correct. I'm not sure input caps are needed for 317s, but they are for LDO regs like the 1117.

Usually I'd use 2x cells - whatever those cells are (always li-ion or lifepo4 though)

Damn - I wanted to run an LPC from a homemade LM1117 driver with a single 14500 :\ Now I need another light.
