I had the itch to get another laser and now it's just a shame that i never seem to use it anymore so i figure i'll pass it onto someone who will. The total run time is way under an hour and a few specs on it, i popped a balloon nearly instantly at over 35ft and lit a match at over 14ft and it destroys electrical tape. I have the power output graph and it's at about 260mw for over 3 minutes.
If you don't know what the kenom barrel or kenbarrel looks like i can either send you a picutre or you can search around the forum because there is many threads about his lasers.
It runs on 2 Cr123a batteries and is a focuable red laser,
It's a pretty fixed price at $215 shipped anywhere in the U.S. if you're outside the U.S. just email or pm me and we can talk.
any questions feel free to ask.

Open can diode? AiziZ acrylic lens? How many mA's is the driver putting out?
Thanks,
Jay

I sold this to him and yes it's an open can diode. from a pioneer 115d. It has an acrylic lens and is running at approximately 380ma. this has a lavadrive in it.

That's an awesome laser right there! Nice build Kenom. I haven't gotten either of the barrels I ordered yet, but from the pictures, I believe the LD presses right into the aluminum head, so that the barrel itself is the heatsink. Correct? The other question I have is about the lavadrive...How high can the current be turned up with the red build? Blu-ray build?
Thanks,
Jay

sorry I'd love to answer that question but I really don't wanna hijack this thread. However at the same time it's important for folks to understand what this laser involves. Yes the diode is pressed into the head directly making the entire barrel the heatsink. The current on the lavadrive I think can go upwards of 500ma.

Can this host fit the higher voltage "AA-sized" batteries? I think they are like 14500 size....

no it uses 2X CR123.
and wow, that is a nice laser your selling.

thanks it is a very very nice laser, it just doesn't get used especially with it getting warmer out i don't have as much time to sit inside and play with it.

Instead of being a glow in the dark clicky on this one it's black.

you can also see a beamshot of this unit.  it's the one on the right.

That's a schweet build right there! If I didn't already have 2 barrels ordered from Kenom, I would have paid that price for that laser. It must have an unusually HOT open can diode in there, because I have to put about 450mA's into a 115D in order to get 260mW's with an acrylic lens. And that one is getting 260mW's @ only 380mA's. Very unusual...
Jay

Here's drlava's 112D graph. The 115D has proven to be the same as the 112D.

So you think that's impressive. Do you remember this jay? ;D

Yes, I remember that impressive video. Kenom said the open can diode was putting out 324mW's @ 425mA's with an acrylic lens.

These kind of readings don't make sense to me though. Because I have now built about 15 or so open can lasers. Using both Pioneer and Sony Optiarc open can diodes.

My builds have always given very consistent readings. Around 245mW's @ 420mA's using an acrylic lens. (300ish mW's - Meredith glass) Very close to drlava's graph. But I'm not sure which lens drlava used when making the graph.

I have built two at 470mA's, which put out 264mW's through an acrylic lens. (324mW's - Meredith glass)

This is why I'm kind of scratching my head. I wish I could find an unusually HOT diode like that!

Either that, or my LPM-1 is just not measuring the same as Kenom's meter...
