I have some A140 diodes for sale that I have pulled from a working, low hour projector. There are 24 in the original block, but I am keeping a few :)

In their original block....

And to borrow some power charts from some older threads:

Both of those graphs have other diodes in them too, make sure to pay attention to the key.

Prices:
-$25 per bare diode. If you want to order a bunch, send me a PM and we can discuss price breaks (and by a bunch i mean >5, not just 2 )
-I can press it into a copper module from DTR for 5$ *
-I can also add leads to the pins if you want, for 2$

-shipping in the US will be free! If you are outside the US, let me know what country and I can check the price for you. Diodes will be in an ESD safe bag (obviously), and padded well.

*If you get it pressed into a module, know you will need to buy a glass lens- you CANNOT use the included acrylic lens, it will melt! Aixiz sells nice, AR coated lenses for ~8$, that will be your best bet.

Due to the sensitive nature of laser diodes, there will be no returns. I'm sorry, but I can't assume responsibility for the buyer and how they handle/treat these diodes. Its hard to prove that the diode died of its own accord, and the buyer didn't just plug it right into a battery or something of the sort...

Scientech 365 Power Meter
SOLD

And as always....Please don't hesitate to ask any questions!

Thanks for looking!

Dude, I would love to have one of these, but the only driver I have is a x-drive v6 set at 2.4a . Any idea if these will work together at this setting?

Back in the A140 days 1.8A was really pushing it, and some diodes died at that current. I would stick to 1.6A or less.

2.4A would fry an A140 in an instant.

Oh yea man no way, that thing would be toast. I think adam1 still has some CC-boost drives for sale, you could try those :)
yep, he does: link

Bump...I don't want to have to sell these on ebay, people!
Edit: made shipping to the US free...International buyers still need to contact me for pricing :)

bump! I have listed these on ebay, so I changed the price here (dropped to 28$) to match. Feel free to ask any questions you may have :)

Re: FS: $28 A140 445 diodes

Holy smokes! $28 for a 1.5W diode. Could do a dual diode 3W for super cheap! All your diodes r belong to us

Re: FS: $28 A140 445 diodes

Are these the diodes that were used in Survival Lasers' C6 1W kits back in the day?
I have one of those lasers here (still kicking after 3 years!) and it has a very low wavelength, with a very strong violet tinge.

I'm not sure about if they were used in the SL kits (probably were), but I can tell you they seem more violet than even the M140's

Re: FS: $26 A140 445 diodes

Hmmm should I just run these w/ a lm317 with cap and diode no resistors would give me 1.5A right?

Re: FS: $26 A140 445 diodes

LM317 has a 1.25V reference voltage. Just V=IR
1.25=1.5R
1.25/1.5=R=~.8
So you need a .8 ohm resistor

I would think so-- they stopped making new A-140 ears ago and it would be oddd that they ever changed the diodes for that model-

My sniper keeps track of all 130 and 140 Greedbay listings - and less 'almost' new and barely used are coming up of late--
And if you fail to reaD THE LISTING YOU MIGHT BUY A kASIO WITH NO DIODFES INSIDE.

bump FOR SPAZ
************

That is lower than I ask--(25$ FOR 130-$35 FOR 140)

FYI Spaz got with other vet diode 'harvesters' and knew every way to assure all diodes are good and have been removed and shipped with all ESD precautions taken. And it is very true that (ALMOST)no diodes are sold with warranty --
There must be a dozen ways to kill or LED a laser diode.

first timers should start with the cheapest of everything=

Spaz has offered very reasonable 'extras' for you--
ITS not hard to accidently bend/crush a diode
Overheat when soldering--bad-ESD- invisible killer

btw
AixiZ still has >100 A-2 (~ same as G 2) lenses for $8 each
AR broadband coated 400 to 700 nm single glass-
Pm for aixiz private cell #

GOOD luck SPAZ
