i have 2 burning reds for sale built with long die open cans and flexdrives. one is a romisen(dx sku:03879) and the other is an ultrafire(dx sku 11133) asking 155$ each shipped in the us(priority insured) and to other countries for an extra 5$ by priority international. note to intl. buyers: i am not responsible for customs confiscations! im selling these 2 lasers so i can invest in a power meter. ;) they are both set at 420ma which should give ~250mw. both have glass lenses(aixiz) and i will be willing to warranty them for 6 months for an additional 35$(this will not cover damage from the buyer). both lasers will come with 2 batteries(hosts only use 1 batt).

hosts:

driver(both are built in the same way):

beam shot side by side:

Normally I would say 'but DX200 so much better' but they don't ship DX200 to the US anymore :(

So, this is a fairly good deal :)

yeah well the thing about dx is that you might get a 100mw laser or you might get a 200+mw laser. its kinda like a game of russian roulette with dx. not to mention id really like to get a lpm so ill be able to test my lasers. i have to go by charts and graphs that others have made and id like to be able to contribute something back.

But you didn't power test these lasers... :-?
im selling them to buy 1. if a buyer wants them tested i can send them to another member for testing as long as they pay for shipping.ill pay for shipping but i have to know some1 wants to buy them first. im trying to save for an lpm so im trying to keep my budget as tight as possible considering my hours got cut at my job.

i dont really understand what the big deal is about testing in this situation. im using proven diodes and drivers from proven sellers and all ive done was assemble them. do you really think id risk losing the rep ive built just to sell some1 a crappy laser? according to dr. lavas graphs 420ma is a safe current for a decent life for these diodes. so what if i cant tell you the exact power? whats going to be the difference? ~10mw maybe? i hear ppl talking about testing lasers all the time but honestly it shouldnt really matter as long as your information is correct. if my info is incorrect that means dr lava and all the others that have tested the same diodes was incorrect. (the following is a hypothetical statement and not in anyway meant as an attack on dr lava. hes a great member of the forum and a great seller as well)in that instance it would prove that dr lava isnt a smart as we think and lies a lot but we know that isnt the case. i know how to set current on the drivers(used rkcstr's test load). the only ? here is whats the exact output which i cant tell b/c i dont have an lpm. im sorry i havent had the money to shit out for an lpm. i do this as a hobby just like most ppl here and spending that much money on a hobby is a little excessive.

muradai ive noticed that all you do is float around and challenge ppl. well heres a challenge for you... dont post in any threads i start. id bet money you fail.

OK drew, I'll stand-in for Murundai, if you are that cock-sure of your assembly, parts, & graphs, then why worry about putting out money for an LPM ? ;D j/k drew, I plan on doing the same thing as you, the only difference I see here is that I already HAVE a meter, & am waiting for it to be calibrated ;) RELAX, I'm only yankin' your chain. I don't have extra money for things either. You're builds LOOK good & are built with proven parts, only thing missing from my P.O.V. is you're missin' that all important mW number. GOOD LUCK with your sales, I really mean that ;) phoenix77/rob

lets put it this way...the first mxdl build i did was built right after i joind this forum and didnt burn out until untill a week ago. so nearly 5-6 months at 440ma. these 2 arent even pushed that high. mistake! about 3-4mos.yes im that "cock sure" about my builds. my solder joints are clean and i do my best to make the whole build as clean as possible. i can handle constructive critisism but not plain ingnorant critisism. ive been doin console mods for multiple systems like ps2, 360, and psp for almost 3 yrs. thats how i learned to solder. im not an 11-18yo kid here trying to say i can do somethin that they cant. the proof is in the workmanship. sorry i cant test them but if they dont sell i have no need to test them b/c i know about how long they will last. if any1 wants to buy 1 contact me and ill see what i can do about getting them tested. i have no qualms about sending it to some1 like daquin, darkhorse or jayrob to be tested as i stated in an earlier post.

Just talking in regards to your comments in this thread:
http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1219461280/4#4

I'm communicating via PM so as not to hijack your selling thread :)

What I was commenting on there is that you deliberately attacked DX for not testing their lasers, I quote:
yeah well the thing about dx is that you might get a 100mw laser or you might get a 200+mw laser.
But the thing is, you also have not tested your lasers! How can you go and attack DX for not testing their lasers when you yourself have also not tested your lasers and can't verify their output? Very hypocritical :)

Don't get me wrong here, I have no doubt what you are selling is a top quality product, and no doubt it outputs in excess of 250mW. My posts certainly weren't to question that :) But you should just be careful not to challenge the practices of a seller when you yourself are doing the same thing as them.
first off dx mass produces hundreds if not thousands of lasers mostly by machine. im a person who pays attention to detail. i am not doing the same thing as dx. i build my lasers 1 at a time just like every1 else here. second dont waste your time pming me anymore. it will go unanswered. theres 2 things i cant stand in life and thats a liar and a thief. i sir am neither. as i stated in TWO posts above i have no qualms sending them to be tested.

Those are a couple of good looking builds Drew! Is that Romisen the same host as IgorT uses? One other question I have about that host...

I'm guessing the battery supply is a 3.6 volt 14500?
