payment sent.

how long can it sustain 445nm @ 1500mah before getting hot?

253.2 seconds

I think first you need to define "hot" 80deg f? 200?

Then even at this point you are most likely only to get guesses. Are you sinking the driver? If not then your heatsink probably wont ever get warm

only because the driver will overheat and shut off long before the diode heats up the sink.

I ran one for about 6-7 minutes yesterday in one of these copper heat sinks. It was definitely hot.

at 1 minutes and 45 seconds i could feel warmth coming from the host, but that was when my driver began to overheat as it is no heat sinked.
So the duty cycle is probably around 2 minutes assuming you heat sink your driver to te stock pill in the host. mine is jsut wrapped in electrical tape and jammed in there.

everyone who has paid will get their packages mailed in the morning. Progress was slower than i thought so i skipped the "mass production" steps and just finished 15 of them so that i could ship out pending orders. They'll get packaged tonight. If you live in the USA you'll get an e-mail with a tracking #

I've changed the "available" quantity. I'm going to save the remaining copper for my new kits. So there are only 2 heat sinks left. I won't be making any more for this host.

Well, I am glad I decided to take them when I did.

And yes, I do still have your paypal.

I just like to make sure everything is in order before money is sent.

I also see you PM'd me, thanks, I'll respond to fulfill the
social agreement that is if a PM is sent, it must be responded to.

Thanks again.

Thanks Moh got the hs's today. I believe I'm going to just wait until after christmas to order the 5 host's from DX. Their shipping is in super slow motion right now. I placed an order with them for other stuff over a month ago and I'm still waiting. Not to mention I still have 2 Guidesman's to fill.:)

I think it's around 10 business days. The USPS won't even give an estimate.
The international envelopes got sent out a few days later than the US envelopes because my post office took 3 days off for thanksgiving. They still ran mail but the lobby was closed so i couldn't buy postage and ship off the first class international packages.
