ALSO, BE SURE TO CHECK OUT MY 14500 KIT HERE.

_________________________________________________________

I have ZERO, TEMPORARY OUT OF STOCK of these kits available right now. I have the same style host but in black on the way. The relief cuts in the head and tail cap are silver.

The kit comes with 1 host, one machined to fit aluminum heat sink and x3 AAA battery holder in case you do not wish to use a 22600 battery. In the case that you do not want to use a 22600 (a 18650 should also work) I will include the tail cap spring which must be removed. Read on.

You will see below that the spring was removed and the tail cap was bored out on the lathe .012" to allow for a nice tight fitment of the 22600. The plastic insulation wrap at the negative end of the 22600 was trimmed 1/8" to allow for proper ground contact.

The 22600 is a very nice and snug fit (but not too tight, drops right in).

These pictures below show the host with the GITD sleeve removed. The clicky is also GITD.

This is with the sleeve still in place.

The build is very simple. Just solder one lead to the clicky switch contact pad. There are tutorials out there for several side clicky hosts already, and this build is no different.

Price is $25 shipped CONUS. International add $5.

CLICK HERE to pay immediately with PayPal, otherwise shoot me a PM.

Please pay attention to the current number available at the top of page before placing order to ensure a refund does not have to be made in the case that quantity ordered is more than the quantity available.

Thanks for looking.

Re: 1x 22600 GITD Hosts

This is an awesome host for anyone - but especially someone just starting out. There is so much room for a driver, and the "pill" is plastic, so you get immediate isolation from the wall of the host. It's really easy to fit a DIY driver into!

If you're looking for a relatively easy, and potentially inexpensive build, this is it. You can buy LM317 chips for $2 shipped on eBay. Using the 3xAAA battery holder to fit 3x10440 batteries (another $8 if you don't already have some) and you've got yourself a build capable of powering a 1W 445nm. There's PLENTY of room in this host for a DIY LM317 driver - I put two in an ongoing Red/Violet dual laser I'm still working on.

Re: 1x 22600 GITD Hosts

I would just like to add on to what rhd said. VERY easy build indeed. There is only ONE wire which must be soldered and that it to the forward side of the clicky switch pad. VERY VERY simple build.

Payment sent for both units (I didn't even ask if they were both still available)? Received the (2) 14500 kits today and I'm happy with your work.

Re: FS 18650 / 22600 Powered GITD Kit

Chris, I can not BELIEVE you already received them! We got such a bad blizzard yesterday that we did not even get mail. My road had six foot drifts and they just plowed it today. Please post a small review and some pictures or just drop a comment in my 14500 sale thread. I would reall enjoy to see them.

Post Merge:

This kit is temporarily out of stock while I wait for more lights to arrive. The new ones will not be GITD. The host is black and the relief cuts on the head and tail cap are silver. If you want to reserve one for when they arrive, do so in this thread, or shoot me a PM. :thanks:
