As posted in my other thread I am selling a 12K Scanner Kit. My reason for posting another thread is this being the main thing I need to sell and I don't seam to be able to get in contact with some of the people interested. Below is more information on the kit anyway, and the price I would like for it.


Galvos: 10k/12k
Features: Sound Active and DMX512 Modes
PSU: 110v / 240v
Display DSP:
Supports multiple colour lasers. (RGB, only red and green have been tested)
TTL Blanking

Components:
110/240 Volt PSU
Display DSP
1x AMP
Pre Assembled Galvos
Galvo to Amp Cables
Sound Sensitivity Pot
Small Microphone
DMX Dip Switches

I am selling this complete kit, in perfect condition, for just £50 not including postage costs. From what I know, you cannot get a kit like this for £50 in this condition.

Its the 12k version, not the 20k. As I said, it can be pushed to 12k if you want to but defiantly not 20k.

12k scanners are great for beams shows and will do most beam show effects

It has around 70 - 80 pre programmed beam effects and 4 or 5 simple animations like arrows in there as well.

Yeah, I know.

Thats why I am looking for another buyer. I have a feeling this is going to end up on ebay...

Ive been looking at getting one of these, and have a couple of n00b questions for you.

-What controls the patterns? is it random or can you set it to what you like?
-Can a green and a BR be incorporated into this?

The patterns are controlled by the Display DSP (top left of my picture), This sends information into the AMP (top right of picture) which then sends a signal to the X/Y galvos shown at the bottom left of the picture. Your laser module is also plugged into the Display DSP which uses the TTL/Analogue blanking to rapidly turn on and off the laser in certain patterns to generate the effect.

You can in a way select the patterns you wish, for example all switches set to 0 and the first switch set to 1 will activate cycle mode which will one by one go through all the pre programmed effects. If you set the first and second switches to one and the rest to 0 you will activate sound active mode which will react to low frequency sounds in music.

You can use any colour laser you like, I would seriously recommend you use a laser module for this as pointers are not designed for laser shows and do not have TTL. As long as the laser you wish to use has TTL blanking you can use it. Almost all modules do come with TTL.
