#3 I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt at first, but your side of the story just isn't adding up to me. Film a video and prove the thing is busted. Even if it's with a mobile phone, I know you have to have something in your residence that is capable of recording video. Why should someone here have to take time out of their schedule to resolve this mess when you can easily do it yourself? To me, it just sounds like you're trying to get a free laser because you're whining here instead of trying to prove your side of the story. Anyone else would have at least already posted a video of it not working to at least prove you're not lying.

It seems like you're the 1 whining about a middleman coming in!--Why are you
so against it?-You should remember, it was Vaughan who put this on the LPF forum
to see it get fixed.He wanted it out in public & visible--Let Vaughan answer about the middleman proposition, not you!--The only thing that you can RUN here is your mouth
& I'm very sorry to inform you, that this deal is not entirely up to YOU!

PS.,If I remember right , you also bid on this laser/shades deal?
You bid the the outstanding amount of $6 USD--Maybe, you're angry
that you did not win the bid!--Also in statement #2, you said "People have
lives outside of this forum" --So, Why don't you go look for yours?! ,and stop

Actually, I'm not mad that I didn't win. I'm very much satisfied with my 125mW thanks. I do have a life outside of the forum fyi. With that being said, you've shown a very poor attitude here on this forum. I'm against a middle man because this is a problem that can easily be fixed, however you're too hard headed to see that. So keep whining and bitching, you're only making yourself look more and more like someone who just wants a free laser or else you would have already posted a video by now of it not working. Tell you what. You want a middle man? Send daguin a PM. He likes to help people out, especially in situations like this. However there's no proof that you'll even send daguin the laser that was mailed to you so I don't see how that'll work unless daguin posts a pic of it here and speedster acknowledges that it's his.

A video would be too easy to fake, just unsoldering a wire or putting tape over a contact would "break" the laser. There are too many variables unless you want to ask him to disassemble it, and test everything with a multimeter in a continuous video.

No, but seriously mfo is spot on, just get it over with, it's not a big deal unless you got something to hide.

Mike, You cannot ask for a refund before returning the items, that simply not how it's done. You've got the 45 days to file a dispute, So you do not have much to worry about. If your unhappy with what you purchased, then package the items up securely, and ship it with tracking. Once they have arrived back at the seller, continue things from there.

I'm not sure how these things happen, i've never had any bad dealings with anyone (other than jake21, but who didn't)

there is really no need for a middle man for this issue, but if you two want that i'd be happy to do it.
otherwise, don't expect a refund untill you return the items.

about the deal,you are now MIA(missing in action) Not 1 word from you! WHY?
Anyway,there is NO trust between US . Let's put this situation to rest Right Now!!
We make the exchange of the laser/shades and $$ in this way:
#1--Find a TRUSTED middleman (MM). :anyone:
#2--You send the purchase price of $41.05 USD to middleman via (PayPal)
#3--I send the laser & shades to middleman via (US MAIL)with tracking# & INSURANCE
#4--Once the Middleman has BOTH items in His possession, he sends notifications
to you & I and then returns the laser & shades to YOU via US Mail and returns the
money to ME via PayPAL(the same way the deal was done at 1st) !!
#5--The MM could post pics of the laser & shades, everything that I'm now returning
to YOU thru HIM (the same laser,shades and box ,you posted in your "for sale listing")
#6--You also could post a pic of the $41.05 USD PayPal invoice that you have sent
to HIM so that he may return $41.05 to me (you've posted pictures of everything else)
Also,if by chance, the MM works on lasers, maybe he could tell what's wrong with it.
What's so hard about doing this?--

PS., Maybe even the MM could post pics of the $41.05 PayPal invoice from YOU to HIM
regarding the return of the $$ to me.

It is normal business practice for the merchandise to be returned before the refund is issued.

Insurance with the postal service would be useless in this instance. The parcel arrived without damage to the packaging. You would get nothing from the PO.

The laser arrived inoperable. Return the merchandise and get a refund. Send it signature confirmation. Refund the money the same day you receive the laser back.

I think using a trusted Middle man would still be better. If Mike returns the laser to Vaughn how can we be sure that Vaughn will send the money back. That is the "obvious question/problem".

In the beginning of this argument I have to admit I was siding with Vaughn, but now I'm beginning to side with Mike and believe that the laser was DOA.

Then again they both could be right. The laser could have been working when Vaughn sent it and DOA, due to poor shipping.

I think using a middle man would be the best way to resolve this mess.

DAVE: How do we solve the trust matter between Vaughan & myself ?

By the way , has anybody asked "Where's Vaughan?". He's MIA(missing in action). WHY?

Since YOU feel so strong about this deal, YOU should SHUT the F**K UP & go FIND your good buddy Vaughan and get him to Stand Up! Let HIM speak for his self !. I have never seen this much immaturity in a forum before, most of us here are adults or mature enough to handle their own situations. Take care of business on your own, pm each other, file dispute if they don't cooperate, then make a thread in the "Trades Feedback & Dispute Resolution" sub about your experiences with said buyer/seller. But come on guys, lets try and do the right thing.

to him, is that "Fair exchange is no robbery"! His nastiness was returned, straight to him!!!

LPF members: Look,this arguing back & forth is not helping to solve the problem about
the sale of a DOA laser and the return of the sale $$, that this whole mess is really
all about. My beef is with Vaughan DeHart (Speedster239), the guy who sold the
DOA laser and started this whole thing. He put everything on the open LPF forum in order
to supposedly solve this situation and then just disappeared! Where is HE? Anyone know where he is or has heard from him?. He's made a lot of accusations against me. Saying
that I'm trying to scam him out of his laser & shades. Now, he won't show up or stand
up on LPF for his products. He's now MIA(missing in action)has been for at least 4 days now! Why? Is he running a scam?!
Remember, a very trusted middleman(MM) has offered his services to mediate this
situation. I'm ready and more then willing for that to happen . The only ongoing problem, against having this settled, is the absence of Vaughan DeHart(Speedster239) WHERE IS HE? :thinking:

OK: I'm pretty sure that we're all 99% sure that you are the innocent one, but please, for your sake and ours, calm down. Just because Mfo made a negative comment ( I don't think it was that bad) doesn't mean you have to. 2 wrongs dont make a right. But yeah, if this other guy is MIA it looks like you might have to file a paypal claim.
