This (now rare) Kryton version 1 barrel is fit with a custom heatsink and green module, without any modifications to the barrel... (except one very small thing)
I am using a 50mW module from Standstone11 :
http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1219896800
No, they are not IR filtered, but seem very stable, starting out at 42mW's and instantly climbing to over 50mW's with in 10 seconds!
(I measured only about a 10mW drop with an IR filter)
This is the only modification that I did to the barrel... I just drilled it out 'a tad' here, in order for the module to be able to slide through...
The key to this build, making it a simple and well built mod, is this custom little heatsink which also allows you to adjust the position of the module length in the tube...
I have this set up for using a single 3.6 volt RCR123 battery (or 3.0 volt)
Battery position - Case positive...
What a great design these barrels are from Kenom!
These 1st run Kryton builds are rare! $220 plus shipping.
Includes a 3.6 volt Lithium rechargeable battery. (charger not included)
Buyer gets a FREE 40mW green laser which I got from DX. It starts out at around 22mW's and slowly climbs to over 40mW's as it warms up with-in 1 minute. It too, will include a 3.6 volt rechargeable battery.
I have done some slight modifications on this laser:
I charge $9 dollars for shipping and handling to the U.S. This includes insurance, and will be shipped with signature confirmation as well.
If you are not in the U.S., please read this about shipping:
