Why you Stop Selling Lasers?

That's not much of an incentive for a GROUP BUY.
That has been close to the "regular" pricing for those who have been working on it. And for the galvos only being 10K that isn't really a great deal for products that sound like they are going to be discontinued.
There will be no support or services for them later. No chance of buying a replacement. And with the hit & miss record of this supplier the whole thing doesn't sound so great to me.
Perhaps a somewhat better deal for the number of unit sales would make it more appealing ?

10 projectors is a lot i'm sure sure there will be that much interest with only 25$ off, maybe offer a larger discount? I know I would be interested if there was a larger discount.

Also what will the cost of shipping be?

Not surprising since DX did stop selling >5mW lasers to US... chances are that's what dino will do as well.

I don't expect we'll see anything actually at cost though. We'll see in less than a week I guess.

I wish they would at least continue selling lasers to us non US folk.

I'm iguana watch the prices and see if they change. If they do I might buy something.

and this is their "last stand" with laser hobbyists like us
wouldnt be surprised if they tried to pull something given their past history....

I don't know if the projectors are being discontinued or not, the post says "laser pointers" I don't know if the projector falls into this category.

As far as the group buy goes Dino, you need to do better. Add the projector to your cart, use "SHARKCOUPON" as the code and the price becomes: "Estimated Total: US$ 224.09" You will have to pay shipping on top of that, but still that's less than a DOLLAR and you don't have to wait for 10 people to get the thing.

Also just randomly browsing your site I got a coupon for 15% off and ended up getting it for $211 as a single purchase... You guys can do better than this!!

I am pretty sure you could get 10 people to buy the thing (heck I got like 5 sales for you) but not when you are giving a similar discount out on public internet coupons to a group buy that's ridiculous.

Get the price down to $200 + shipping (or offer $25 off with FREE shipping) per unit on 10 sales and I bet you won't have a problem reaching it.

These are quality units and very capable at this price point and you can't find/expect anything better when your buying a whole projector for LESS than the cost of a decent set of galvos.

DinoDirect, you need to get the price way down if this is going to be a well received groupbuy. You can't just slap on a pathetic 8% discount (off the total all said and done) and expect LPF members to jump on the bandwagon. Come on, I thought you guys recognized this when we put all that time + effort into the FireDragon groupbuy. (Approx 25 or 30% discount)

LPF-ers aren't stupid, and you can't just throw what is essentially a pathetic 8% coupon at us, and expect us to swarm to your site and buy something under the illusion that we're getting a deal when we aren't.

Man up. Grow a pair. And discount this product properly if you want to call it an actual groupbuy, and if you want us to take part.
