Hi,
Might do this as a group buy or just buy them and sell them outright but figured i'd see if there was interest first.

The cells in question would be panasonic 18650 cells
low internal resistance
10 discharge rate
and a 3200mah capacity

cost per cell would be $10

any thoughts?

If I can get 10 solid members with a decent level of rep showing interest i'll order 100 and offer them for sale here. if theres a large interest in a group buy i'll set that up and probably get the cells for 7ish dollars per plus shipping.

Unless you can buy cells dirt cheap there is no point in doing a GB. FT, DX, BangGood, etc.... kill us on pricing so in the end its not worth it unless you buy in extreme bulk, i.e. 400 cells plus

Panasonic, Sanyo or Samsung. If they are not quality cells then people wont buy them. I tried to do a GB for panny cells but I would have had to buy 400 to get them for $4/cell and to get them for $3/cell id need to get a crap load

What if we get a GB directly from FastTech...the price goes to 8.5$ per cell if you purchase more than 5...maybe they can give us a better price!

Just my 2 cents,
Jim

I can get imr cells for a bit cheaper or

samsung icr18650-30B for around $7 a piece shipped

panasonic NCR18650PF for around $8 a piece shipped

EH NCR18650B for $10 shipped

AW 3100 mah with ic protection for around $11 shipped

Panasonic NCR18650A for $9 each shipped

gives everyone a few options. Again if theres enough interest in one particular cell then I could also arrange a gb and get the price down a bit.

Iirc FT and banggood still beat all those prices. Id need to check again but thats what I remember off top of my head

EDIT: They are way cheaper from FT

Like I said above, I've already spent many hours trying to get a good deal on cells and if you don't buy at least 400 at a time, its not worth it. FT, BG, DX, etc..... buy thousands of cells at a time, they will always beat GB prices unless they are the ones doing the GB

I know this is a bit of a thread hijack but I figured I'd ask in case someone can help get what I'm asking for at a good price. The question, is there a similarly built or high quality cell like we're talking about here in the 18350 or 16340 size? If so, can you get these as well for a decent price?

Thanks!

16340/18350 cells are not that great. You have Efest IMR's which are reasonably cheap, AW IMR's, Nitecore and thats pretty much where good 16340s end. Efest 18350 are like $4/cell

EDIT: Nkgamer, if you want to buy cells then keep an eye out for BangGood to run battery BGs. They run them monthly it seems
