FandyFire 400mW Builds

attachment.php

Some more fall cleaning! These are FandyFire hosts, built with Mits 300 diodes, a variant of the IRON 4D driver, and glass 3-element red coated lenses. They're designed to run from a single 18650 cell. There are slight differences between the two. As you can see from the photos, one of the builds uses a flush heatsink, and a custom focus knob. The other uses a standard focus knob, but has an extruded heatsink design. The price is the same for both.

You MUST own laser protection goggles appropriate for this wavelength, and
You MUST be over 20 years of age, and
You MUST be familiar and experienced with the appropriate safety precautions to take with lasers of this power.
You MUST NOT be a resident of Canada

This is not a laser pointing device. At all times, protective laser safety glasses appropriate for this wavelength must be worn by the operator. This laser should not be used around 3rd parties (non-operators) pets, or for any recreational purpose.

These are pinky ones :D Have you shipped to Europe? I'm wondering what shipping cost would be.

Thanks for all the interest guys. Have received several PMs about these guys. Nobody has pulled the trigger yet, so they're still up for grabs.

Alright - a few requests for these came in while I was away, so I couldn't get back to people.

For anyone interested, I'll lower the price to $115 plus shipping.

Re: FS: FandyFire 400mW 638nm Builds ($115 shipped)

Hey All,

I am back home now. I know that about a half dozen PMs came in about these lasers while I was gone. Since those messages are 3 or 4 weeks old now, I'm going to assume that people have moved on. So I'll defibrillate this thread and bring her back from the dead.

I've dropped the price a bit more, and this time, I won't be leaving on vacation days after listing ;)

Re: FS: FandyFire 400mW 638nm Builds ($115 shipped)

Yes indeed, the top one has sold. The remaining available build is the bottom one in that photo.

I'm lowering the price to $105 shipped :)

thatguynate: I thought I'd let you know how I usually do this when I lower the price on a BST thread, where there is more than one item. In that case, I don't like "early adopters" to be penalized for purchasing before a price drop. So I always try to go back and refund the early adopter whatever the price drop on later sales was.

So, when the second build sells, earlier buyers can just send me a PM reminder, and I'll Paypal them a thank-you refund equal to the amount that I dropped prices after an earlier sale.

Well thanks rhd, that's certainly appreciated. If its only a difference of a few dollars I wouldn't even worry about it. It did arrive over the weekend but I immediately had to go out of town for work so I haven't had a chance to put it through its paces yet. Certainly looks nice and seems solid, so my thanks.
