wtf?
physx: you'll also find them listed as 500mW on other sites.
If you'd prefer, you can buy the same thing on dino direct for 50% off right now!!!!
Only $678!!!
500mW 532nm Handhled Adjust Focusing Green Laser Pointer Pen (1 x 18650 Battery) - DinoDirect.com
They title has a typo, but i'm sure their laser is flawless, coming in over spec for sure even though it's made by the same company....

I realize that, I was saying that instead of just doing what everyone else is doing and falsely advertising his stuff, I was saying he should test his products out himself and put in his store what it really is. The supplier can say what ever they want, but if testing shows that the outputs are in fact not what the supplier has stated, then advertise what they really are for the sake of your customers. As opposed to just going with what the supplier says when you know it's wrong. Get what I'm sayin'?

Thats exactly what he is doing :wtf:

In order to make the models comparable with other websites he lists them as their manufacturer assigned name and rated output.

If you dont like that I suggest you to home depot and complain that the 2x4s are only 1.5x3.5 and demand a refund.

I understand he is doing that here, which is great! I was asking why he doesn't do that on his website.

He is. If you read the description of several of the lasers he states the true output. Look in the description of the laser he posted. Hes in the process of making these changes and since lasers are only a very small portion of his business its no surprise that major changes arnt happening overnight.

If your saying he should change the title of the item to read the true output I would have to disagree as the majority of his shoppers are not in the know and will look at his true output 40mW laser for $30 and the exact same laser elsewhere at 200mW for $30 and make what seems like an easy decision.

The way he has done it people can still compare apples to apples from one site to another but are also alerted to the true performance.

This is just a difference of opinion but what should be unanimous is our appreciation that john is willing to take any steps at all to fix the problem.

Thanks all, and I know there is still a long way to go before we becoming a reliable shopping center, and I will always try my best.

If something is wrong with my bussiness or service, sorry, and thanks for your trust and patience.

I have seen that John measures the lasers from good 1 meter of lenght between aperture and sensor, this greatly minimises the IR readings since it's not focused as tightly as green light is.

You should not worry about IR amount when laser is measured like so.
Besides, most of these bulky ones actually do have IR filters. *Most* of them.

Wish I would have found this a month ago. I would have bought one. I bought a bunch of other stuff instead. The next time I get some extra spending cash I will be buying one so hopefully you keep them available for awhile.

Btw... On the site you show the below for the description...

500mw wavelength

You might want to change that to '532nm wavelength' or '500mw output' :).

Thumbs up for measuring the power of your lasers and putting that info on your site. You certainly will get more sales because of it.

Is the dot round? Im not sure if the picture is of the dot hitting a surface at an angle creating this appearance, out of focus, or if the dot just is not round.

I think the confusion arose when Borg asked for "the diameters" which make absolutely no sense. If you want to know the dimensions...why dont you look at the item page? seems quite simple to me

Specifications Dimensions:7.46 in x 1.49 in x 1.49 in
Shipping Weight: 935 g
