I am selling Laser Diodes from 24X LG DVD-RW Drives which are totally extracted from the drives and are capable of more than 300mW
(Power Claim is a rough estimate, as i dont have LPM yet, you can adjust the power , LPC's work best and long life at arround 250mW's and peak at 330+)
Only 16 Pieces left.. More diodes can be arranged if you require to purchase in high quantity.. like 20+ upto 100s..

Nice deal if it is true, but accepting only bank transfer makes you look like a SPAMMER ! as Ghostchrome said.

I am sorry if this is legit, but with only 5 posts, little info on the diodes, and taking payment by bank transfer only, this looks REALLY suspicious.


Post some pictures and more info about the diodes, get a PayPal account, and this will look a lot better and will attract more interest.

Guys Guys Guys! you are starting to panic.. Really!
Im actually a big fan of lasers but I never knew about this forum..
when i saw kipkay, tingawinga and styropyo on youtube a couple of years back i started to envy and for that i killed many of the optical drives.. and there started a quest for searching these things but i never had a chance to do it myself because of the University and the job..
Im from Pakistan and people here dont yet know about this stuff they just buy the whole product and doesnot go with making one themselves.. unlike me, well i saw an ad of a laser 50mW and it clicked my mind.. should i buy one?
Well i remember kipkay dude that was for sure.. and secondly i just completed my degree in Pharmacy, And i was totally free for a couple of months..
So why souldnt i make one for myself..
I started to find me some laser stuff and here i found a Optical Drives wholeseller , and he had some faulty dvd-burner lenses assembly .. It literally was the best day ever when i purchased these from him and it was so cheap i cant imagine myself.. It wasnt just Cheap it was So much Cheap infact i bought 25 of them... XD out of which 23 worked , i may have killed the other 2 during the extraction, these are all from Latest DVD-Burners ranging from 22x~24x and Lightscribe ones , if it has to do anything with it..
well if i have a little/no rep points that doesnt mean i never existed before i came in this forum..

Ok i will upload the picture but it is exactly same as 826's , maybe 826 but i dont know yet.. So please visit the thread a couple days later i'll be back with pictures of it working..
PS: i want to make a better driver for this diode, please suggest..

Its called LM317 Constant current DDL i guess.. Is it the best one for it

Sending a member a diode to test and report on would be a good move. Another suggestion would be to send all the diodes to a trusted seller here, and let them act as a go between, IE, you send the diodes to them, and they ship them out on your behalf after you receive payment for them.

That is probably the only way you're going to get people to send money by Western Union or Bank Transfer.

I would suggest going with Google checkout though, I don't think they have the same country restrictions that paypal has. I don't think they offer as good a buyer protection as paypal, but they do offer some, and by paying with a credit card the buyer has some protection anyway.

Not saying you aren't legit, but right now it ius just you saying you are, with no track record hee to show anything.

I do have Completed my degree, but not yet recieved it.. I have completed it the last month and still waiting for the convocation date to be decided.. As for now All i had was paid to the university in the past 6 years.. XD
