Unlike a lot countries right now including here in the US Brazil where she is from is growing very fast and there are a lot of people there with disposable income.

As far as the income thing goes, that sounded a whole lot like when someone sees a chick who knows about cars, "Did your boyfriend teach you that?"
I remark on that because I've shown up with some damned expensive lasers here and nobody's questioned me.
(Of course, my GF is a biology and physics major. She knows more about how lasers *actually work* than me. Convenient, in that she doesn't have any problem whatsoever with my lasers. Inconvenient, in that she sometimes asks to borrow them.)
With Regina, Maybe it's inherited, maybe it ain't, but the fact that she said she had to stop for a bit means she's not immune to the same laser-buying-(or building)-(or in some cases, diode-blowing)-addiction we've all been subject to at one time or another.
I mean, if I got a holiday bonus this year (I didn't!), I think I know damn well where it would have gone.
