Last week. I ordered from existotem and techood in the same day, the tracking #'s were only a few digits off and from shenzen China

I have several suppliers for diodes in China and they all have been telling me the same thing, "EVERYONE is asking for these, we will let you know when they are available." Obviously they're not tech hood or even deal with them, but it sounds like there aren't many available and we here in the states know more about these diodes than these Chinese suppliers. I have had to drop knowledge on these guys, on the reg..

I remember reading another member's post about the Chinese supplier stating that the NUBM44 is just the NUBM05T with a CAN.. although very simliar, its not true and they don't know anything about the NUBM44 so they just say that to get a sale.. kind of like the 10W lasers they sell for $70-$150 with "guarantees" of listing accuracy, they've always been full of it and will continue to be.

(half Chinese guy who has worked with enough Chinese businessmen to feel confident in saying that they almost all suck - haha sorry i have to vent about this from time to time - the romanticized and respectable Chinese you would expect from having such teachers as Confucius are long gone. I constantly catch these suppliers lying, haha, but it's okay since they sell this stuff so cheap)

That was me who said that they told me that the 05T was the same. While most of the high power blues are very similar in strength they are not identical. They all probably are born from the same silicon wafer but come from different areas with different properties. It could be the 08 is chopped chopped out of the choicest part. But I do appreciate what the Chinese do since nichia won't sell direct. They are doing the right thing. It seems like there is a lot of competition for sales and each company has an average of 5 names. So all you can do is LPM test the diodes and make sure they match the spec sheets.

It's kind of questionable they haven't sold singles or made any reference to it being the most powerful visible diode. They may just be using the fact that it's an unknown to pique people's interest. The data sheet they sent me and I posted on the 08 thread seems to be missing some vital data.

I'm very sure they read t he forum, I posted a complaint here about something not getting shipped out and 20 mins later it shipped with an explanation. I have had nothing but 5star service from existotem and techood

No I haven't mate, I would like to but spent nearly $1000 in the last 2weeks on laser related stuff, really need to give it a rest, it's $50 more than the NUBMO7 but I think closed can it's definitely on my to buy list.

That's very interesting. It looks like the lenses are attached to an enclose diode. I think these came from a RGB projector. And since RGB projectors use fibers I wonder if those lenses might be part used for coupling.

They look like the cans will not come off.

32 watt block of 8 = 500.00

36 watt block of 8 = 1000.00

NOT A GOOD DEAL and not as useable, these should be the same price.
