Re: FS: Broken "overspec" green pen

@DTR, thanks for the info... now to find my spacer:D

Also, what did you do, rob a chinese dropshipper!?!? 30 green lasers for $20 is not a bad deal...

I meant $20 each.:p

I use a cut and ground threaded rod as well. Just wrapped in electrical tape.;)

If its a new wish pen you can make a spacer out of aluminum foil. Just roll it tight at the right length. It doesnt matter if it contacts the sides since its a side clicky.

Well if anyone wants it, 5$ shipped in USA. Might be able to turn it into a decent IR laser.

I'll be searching the garage for materials to make a spacer unless i can find a cheap one fs.

I can't seem to find mine either:(

Might try the tin foil approach for lack of a dremel.

If you want something a little more permanent and sturdy just grab what ever battery you want to duplicate into a spacer, go to the hardware store, find a bolt thats the same length and make sure the head of it isnt larger than the battery and then just wrap it in electrical tape until it is the diameter of the battery. You can use the bolt head as the - terminal and the threaded end as the + since it will be centered and isolated, just let it stick out a 1/16" or so. Should take no more than 5 minutes and cost maybe $0.80 or free if you have bolts and electric tape laying around like most people do.

No grinder necessary

These are working perfect: Dummy battery AAA size x4 | eBay

jcranmer recommended them to me.

The seller raised the price a bit after I paid them.

Only tested the 10440 + spacer combination in my Dinodirect pens.
I also make sure that the voltage isn´t higher than 3.7-3.8V.

@Helios -

That's a pretty good idea, but I took the lazy way out... just ordered the spacers DJNY posted:p

I'll still stop by the hardware store later I think... don't feel like waiting a month on these.

I'm going to have to order some of those myself eventually. :). It's literally the only place I could find where you could order less then 100.

Nah, the pump is cooked.
Assuming the driver is ok, replacing the pump and re-aligning the crystals will fix it. It's not really worth it, though. $9 can get you a new one from DX.
