THIS SALE IS CLOSED. I'LL BE POSTING THE "END OF THE YEAR" SALE IN A BIT ;)

Well the Holidays are upon us and the lasers are stacking up!  It's time for the first annual ;)

daguin Holiday Clearance Sale (cue the wintery music) :D :p ;D

Get one for yourself for the Holiday.  Get one for a friend.

There's a bunch of them here.  Something for everyone.  I didn't do any beam shots (OK I did one) because this will be way too long already.  I may have to break it up into more than one post already.  If you want a beam shot, they look like all the other beam shots on the forum ;)

Once again, because of the number of offerings here, the lasers will be numbered.  When PMing me, please refer to the laser number somewhere in the PM.  It will speed things up significantly.  In the case of more than one showing interest in the same laser the earlier PM will get it.  As always reasonable offers will be considered, especially if you are buying more than one unit.  Here we go . . . . . .

**SOLD** #1 is a matched set.  It is custom built in a new host.  Both have custom made Jayrob heat sinks.  Both have the flexdrive.  Both have the AixiZ module with clear acrylic lens.  The blu-ray is a PHR-803T diode putting out 150mW.  The red is a long closed can diode putting out 220mW.  These outputs are set for good burning ability and longevity.  They come with AAA batteries.  The set comes with lens caps, a storage/carrying case, and individual belt holders.  If you want a laser that no one else has, this set is for you.  I promise that "I" will NOT build any more lasers in this host to help keep them unique.  This set is offered at $275, Shipped in the US.

**SOLD** #2 is a matched set.  It is in the well known MXDL host.  Both have Jayrob heat sinks.  Both have the flexdrive.  Both have the AixiZ module with clear acrylic lens.  The blu-ray is a PHR-803T diode putting out 160mW.  The red is a long closed can diode putting out 220mW.  They come with a set of 17670 batteries.  These outputs are set for good burning ability and longevity.  The set comes with lens caps and a storage/carrying case.  This set is offered at $275, Shipped in the US.

Matched2-B.jpg

SOLD #3 and #4 are trade-ins.  These were originally a custom built matched set.  The original owner loaned then to a "friend."  As often happens when an uneducated (about lasers) person get hold of a laser, when they were returned they were both dead.  The original owner found out that 405nm is more fun than 660nm so he wanted these rebuilt into both violet lasers.  He then decided he wanted to "trade up" to a more powerful matched set.  These are used, but rebuilt, lasers.  They are still in "like new" condition and have new drivers and diodes.  They both have custom made Jayrob heat sinks.  They both have Rkcstr drivers.  Both have the AixiZ module with acrylic lens.  They come with dust caps and a set (2) of 10440 batteries.  Laser #3 is putting out 150mW.  Laser#4 is putting out 130mW.  These lasers are offered at $115 EACH, shipped in the US.
CustomSilver2.jpg

SOLD #5 is built in the famous WL Sonar white host.  It has the custom DarkHorse heat sink/module.  It has a flexdrive.  It uses the PHR-803T diode in an AixiZ module head with the acrylic lens.  It comes with two CR123 batteries.  It is putting out 145mW.  The front of the host has been opened up a bit to allow for focusing in case you decide to burn something.  It comes with the original WL case.  Laser #5 is offered at $175, shipped in the US.
Sonar1.jpg

RESERVED  #6 is built in the Kryton "Smooth" host.  It has a flexdrive.  It uses the AixiZ acrylic lens.  It comes with two CR123 batteries.  The clicky cover is GITD.  This laser is putting out 155mW.  This unit apparently missed the "chasing" of the lens nut threads.  The lens is "tight."  You have to use a screwdriver to change the focus.  It turns fine.  It is just too tight to turn with your fingernail.  I have it set to "infinity" now so you may never want to refocus it anyway.  It is offered at $175, shipped in the US.
Kryton1.jpg

SOLD #7 is built in the MXDL "Chicken Leg."  It has a massive Jayrob heat sink.  It has a Rkcstr driver.  It uses an AixiZ module with the acrylic lens.  This laser has the long closed can diode.  It is putting out 220mW.  It comes with a dust cap and two 10440 batteries.  It is offered at $75, shipped in the US
MXDLred.jpg

SOLD  #8 is built in the MXDL "Chicken Leg."  It has a massive Jayrob heat sink.  It has a flexdrive.  It uses the Merideth module with a glass lens.  This laser has the "new" 4X diode.  It is putting out 180mW.  It comes with a dust cap and three AAA batteries.  This was one of my "working" lasers.  As such it has a few VERY MINOR scuff marks.  It is offered at $175, shipped in the US.

Re: daguin Holiday Clearance Sale

Laser #9 is SOLD
Laser #11 is TRADED
#9, #10, & #11 are all built in the Chrome LeadLight host.   All three have Rkcstr driver.  All three come with two 10440 batteries.  All three use the AixiZ module with an acrylic lens.

Lasers #9 & #10 have the DT-0811 diode.  Laser #9 is putting out 95mW.  Laser #10 is putting out 70mW.  Both #9 & #10 have had the front opened a bit to allow for focusing.  Lasers #9 & #10 are offered at $100 EACH, shipped in the US.

**TRADED** Laser #11 has the PS3 diode.  I built this one for another professor who flaked out on me.  These make GREAT lecture pointers.  I use one just like it.  This laser is putting out 9mW.  The dot is "dim" when not on the screen, but when it hits the white screen, ZOINKS!.  It definitely demands attention without destroying the dark adapted vision of the audience.  This is also very cool for making things "glow."  Often times when one is fluorescing objects with the higher output violet lasers, the subtle fluorescent colors are drowned out by the "dazzle" of the brighter laser light.  This does not suffer that fate.  The lens is set under the Leadlight cover and set to infinity.  Laser #11 is offered at $70, shipped in the US.

**SOLD** #12 is my last HeNe for sale (for now at least).  It is a red HeNe.  It is putting out 3mW at 12.5KV.  It has a nice clean beam.  It comes with a PSU.  This PSU needs a power source of 10V-14V.  It is offered here at $30, shipped in the US.
HeNe-1.jpg

SOLD  #13 is an argon ion laser.  This is a JDS Uniphase, 2211-10SL.  The PSU is a 2214-40ML.  This PSU can be switched to run on anywhere from 90V-240V.  The "SL" designation tells you it is a 488nm laser.  You will need to get a high volume fan and a section of "dryer vent" hose to cool the laser.  I will ship with the jumpers in place to allow you to run the laser in "idle" mode and a copy of the manual.  If you want to run it in "light" mode or "current" mode (for more brightness) you will have to either build a remote interface or buy one.  This laser appears to be brand new!  This laser has the cleanest beam of all of my argon lasers.  I almost kept it for myself ;)  The laser puts out about 8mW at idle, 20mW at 8A, and an incredible 50mW at 10.5A!  Like I said, I almost kept it.  The laser is offered here at $200 PLUS shipping.  Sorry, but these are heavy.  Shipping is different to different areas.  I cannot incorporate shipping into the price.  It is just too variable.  The Laser and PSU together weigh around 35 pounds BEFORE packaging.  I will ship it the least expensive way possible.  You can get an estimate of the shipping to you from the various carriers.  It will be shipped from 91786.  You can figure on about 40 pounds with packaging.  If needed I will package the PSU and the laser separately.
Argon2-1.jpg

Argon1-1.jpg

In addition to the complete lasers I have a couple of modules that are ready to be built into your host or simply used as a labby.  For both of these module all you will need is a 7.5V-11.5V power source to have a working laser.  Both of these modules use the AixiZ module with an acrylic lens and a Rkcstr driver.

SOLD #14 is the long closed can diode.  It is putting out 175mW.  It is offered at $40, shipped in the US.
SOLD #15 is the DT-0811 diode.  It is putting out 90mW.  It is offered at $50

Finally, I have four HeNe PSU's for sale.  These PSU's were salvaged out of a multi PSU housing.  These PSU's can be run off of either 110V OR 220V mains.  They will power the most prevalent Hene's out there (the <7mW tubes).  They have Alden type connectors.  The leads are about 16 inches long.  So if you have a HenE without a PSU or want to be able to run your HeNe straight off of the mains, these will do it.  They have some small "breaks" in the plastic housing from the salvage.  These breaks are not dangerous and do NOT affect the operation in any way.  These HeNe PSU's are offered at $25 EACH, shipped in the US.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Peace,
dave

For you, Wes, I have a special deal. If you buy either or both of the modules (175mW red and/or 90mW violet) I will ship your project box and battery back with it/them. As far as I am concerned, it is still yours anyway. I just haven't gotten around to re-shipping it. That way, for $40 or $50 you can build a new burning laser for no extra money.

Peace,
dave

No problem.  I confused a set of numbers just yesterday in Blueray's GB thread ;)

I don't believe any "honest" question can be "dumb." No. They are red or violet. The "long closed cans" are red. The others are "blu-ray" (violet). The Argon is cyan. The HeNe is red.

Peace.

Re: daguin Holiday Clearance Sale

M'kay thanks. I will look under my bed, and see if i can find some money for the argon. I am in england, so it will probably double the price, but there are no argons in england it would seem

Thanks daguin

Re: daguin Holiday Clearance Sale

Dave, I'd offer to chase the threads on that smooth but with the diode inserted I can't without pushing the diode out.
