Hello All,

;D ;D  I'm blowing out the 2008 models to make room for the 2009 models  ;D ;D

OK.  What really went on was I had my "Clearance Sale", but still had some stuff on my desk I was working on.  Somewhere in a thread (I don't remember where), I mentioned that I had a few more around.  PM's were entertaining for a bit after that.  Thank you very much.  What I have offered here are the things still on my desk and or just "finished."  The idea is to clear off my desk to make room for working on my new Kryton Grooves :)

First off a batch of pointers and modules

salepointers.jpg

The pointers will be listed from top to bottom

**SOLD**
#1)  This is a 3W MXDL host.  It has a flexdrive and a PHR-803T diode.  It is powered by one cr123 battery.  It is focusable.  It has a custom, aluminum heat sink.  This could also use the RCR123 (rechargeable) if you want to.  It is putting out 100mW.  The laser is turned on by twisting the head down.  It is very easy to do with one hand.  If you only twist it off 1/8 turn, you can also use it as a "momentary" pointer by simply "squeezing" the head back into the body.  That may sound a bit confusing, but it is also very easy to do.  I originally made this for use as a "pocket laser", but it is a bit too easy for it to be accidentally turned on in a pocket (that's how easy it is to turn and squeeze).  This is offered at $110, shipped in the US.

#2)  This is a violet lecture-type" pointer.  It is housed in a WL "Classic" host.  I got this host from another member of the forum.  It was too scratched up for my taste, so I simply sanded it down to the bare metal.  It has not been treated.  I like the way they look as they age.  This was made to be used in a LARGE lecture hall.  It uses an SF-AD112 diode and a Rckstr "boost" driver, powered by two AAA's.  It is fixed focus for distance.  It is also more powerful than my normal lecture pointers because of the longer distances in a large lecture hall.  It is putting out 37mW.  If you do not give lectures ;)  these lower powered units are also very good for making things glow.  With higher powered violet lasers, the more subtle fluorescent colors are often "drowned out" by the "blaze" from the more powerful light.  If you are more interested in making things glow than in burning tape or popping balloons, this is the ticket for you.  It is offered here for $70, shipped in the US.

**SOLD**
#3)  This is a silver, "Newish" style violet laser.  It uses a DT-0811 diode with a Rkcstr driver, powered by two 10440's.  It is focusable and putting out 85mW.  Yes:  violet lasers will burn stuff at 85mW.  It is offered here for $100,   $90 shipped in the US.

**SOLD** #4)  This is a stock WL Pheonix.  It is a green pointer.  It is powered by two AAA batteries.  It averages around 60mW output.  It is lower when it is cold and higher when it is warm.  As with most green pointers, you must observe a duty cycle of about 50/50.  I have never needed to burn it longer than 60 seconds.  It has a few very small scratches on the host.  It has been a very reliable "working" laser.  It is offered here for $75, shipped in the US.

**SOLD** #5)  This is violet burner.  It is built in a brand new WL Core housing.  It uses a B0398 diode with a Rkcstr driver, powered by two 10440's.  It is focusable and is putting out 120mW.  It is offered here for $130, $110 shipped in the US.

**SOLD**

#6-9)  These burning modules are all built alike.   They are built with a long closed can red diode and a Rkcstr driver.  They need around 6V-9V input.  They are focusable and are putting out 250mW.  They are offered here for $35 EACH, shipped in the US.

**SOLD** #10) (Pictured below) This is for the hobbyist that wants to get into gas lasers, but has been scared off by the cost.  This is a less expensive way to get into this end of the hobby.  This is a JDS Uniphase 2214-10SL with Uniphase PSU.  The laser puts out a nice 488nm colored beam.  It is "up to spec."  It puts out 10mW at full power.  The PSU will work with 90V-240V mains.  I will ship the unit (as always) with the jumpers in place to run at "idle."  In order to get full power out of the unit, you will have to build or buy a remote interface.  These are easy and I will supply you with links to schematics.  You will also need to supply a high output fan to cool the unit.  It is offered here for $125 PLUS shipping.  I cannot include the shipping in these.  It is VERY different depending on where you live.  These units are heavy.  The laser and PSU weigh 29 pounds before packaging.  If you want to get a rough idea on the shipping cost to you, it will be shipped from 91786.  Figure about 32 pounds packed.

As always, earlier PM takes it and reasonable offers will always be considered.

Re: daguin: End of the Year DEALS

Lasers #1, #4, and #6-#9 are sold

#2, #3, #5, & #10 are still available.

I have inquires about (but no offers yet) on #5 and #10

I have received several inquiries about more red modules.  I do not have any more Rkcstr drivers on hand.  They are all gone.  I cannot make any more quickly.  Maybe someone else with these long open can (or some closed can) diodes and some drivers on hand can build some quickly.  There are at least three members that would like one.

Re: daguin: End of the Year DEALS

I made a laser using the host of #1. It really is tiny. Well done to whoever bought it.

I only had 1 problem though, but it may have been a one-off thing. The threads on the host wore out really quickly. Alright, now i know that I'm rambling. I'll just be going...

How easy was it to turn. There should be very little "torque" on the threads. This one turns very easily. So easily in fact that I gave up trying to use it as a "pocket" laser. It turns itself on in your pocket. (Hey! Is that a laser in your pocket or are you just really glad to see me?) [smiley=kiss.gif]

Plus, you should not need to tighten it very much. It should not take much "pressure" to make the contact. I had to "shorten" the spring a bit on this one to make up for the lost "depth" in the head.

Peace,
dave

I am waiting on more drivers to be delivered. After they arrive I can make up some PHR modules. Any preference on output?

Re: daguin: End of the Year DEALS

Well, here it is the first of the year and three of these are still hanging around.  Let's see if we can clear these out before classes start for Winter session with a price drop.
