Re: PRESALE: Copper Pen Host - The Cypreus Series 2x10440 and 1x10440

Gonna look for the highest powered 685nm diode around :)

IIRC lazeerer had one with 150mW.. I like the color a lot

yeah indeed a nice color :)
c-mount with 500mw rated and 690nm +/- 10nm is only
160$
But a c-mount in such a host is a challenge even for lazeerer;)

Re: PRESALE: Copper Pen Host - The Cypreus Series 2x10440 and 1x10440

I got my 4 efest IMR10440 batteries in. They were $15 shipped so about 3.75 a piece.

I know what a AAA battery is like, but when i got these i kinda felt like they were really small. lol

Silly me. I guess i can use them to estimate how large the host will be.

So, how long will the module have to be (from bezel to battery) so that the spring touches the battery?

Thanks
-Matt

Where did you get the batteries from, I heard illuminationsupply has them for $3.25 a piece so US local members can order directly from there.

The module, with attached driver shouldnt be more than 25mm long, 30mm including spring.

Presales ending soon, I'll be sending pm's accordingly so everyone can send the payment in the mean time.
Add/Remove or Upgrade period is ended.

Are there alternate shipping methods?

The included shipping will take weeks to get to the US. I CANNOT WAIT!!! :D

Depending on the completion and when shipping starts, I can give you an exact estimate on shipping and other options offcourse. I cannot prioritize any individual orders just yet because all of them are in the same production process and can delay other orders too! hope you understand.

It didn't say in the OP is there a set screw or is it press fit for the 12mm copper module?

Is the clicky pre-installed?

So excited, I will see if I can afford a fast shipping method :p

Will I need a vice or is it something I can do with my hands? Pressing module and host down on a board?

Thanks

if its press fir you will need a vice or clamp most likely. Can't wait for my white powdercoat beauty to get here- thinking a nice 500mW 405 in it

Re: PRESALE: Copper Pen Host - The Cypreus Series 2x10440 and 1x10440

I would a least use a c clamp. I don't think your weight will be enough.

I need a 9mm pen, and a m140 and a 638, and a 405 , and a 450, and a 650, and a 532, and a 520 , yeah that should do it.

Re: PRESALE: Copper Pen Host - The Cypreus Series 2x10440 and 1x10440

I'm making two sets. A 2 cell set and a 1 cell set. Each set will need a 445 .

Thinking about using a osram and doing a 2cell multimode set, and a 1 cell single mode set
With the single mode 450, 638, 532, 405 .
Multimode set , 445,638,520, but I would have to break the trend with the 405 .

I built my module like this: PL520-B1 it measures exactly 33mm from copper module to end of spring.
