Got my hands on 11 of those B&W tek cni 473nm lasers. 8 sold 2 available.
they all produce a beam of 473nm light
for those that dont know these use a laser head built by cni.
these come with the driver board to control the laser and tec's but you will need your own power supply.


UPDATE 4/22/14
2 units left, Because of low interest in the 2 units with fuzzy output i've gone ahead and realigned them myself.
the first unit is tem0 and produces 31mw
the second unit is also tem0 and produces 46mw
$120 shipped for the 31mw
and $132 shipped for the 46mw unit

output of 10mw however people here have adjusted the optics and achieved around 80mw, there are threads on this, just look up b&w tek 473nm.

2 5volt supplies are necessary. for the tec's and the laser driver.
the tec drivers and laser driver is included

yeah, was just looking at power requirements

I haven't self powered one of these heads before. just always used the OEM one that came with them from CNI. which is just a plug in AC supply. so prolly just buy a plug in 5V source at 1 amp or so and hook it up it sounds like

The pinouts are as follows:

1 Gnd (-5V)
2 Gnd (-5V)
3 N/C
4 +5V
5 +5V
6 Gnd (-5V)
7 Gnd (-5V) ***
8 N/C
9 N/C

***Pin 7 was part of a Safety switch that if not connected will allow the control board to turn on but the laser will not.

for those worried you just need a 5v psu. they can be had for $10.

I hope this doesn't sound rude, but am I missing something? A 473 (lab, no less) for this cheap seems too good to be true.

If I'm not missing something, and you still have some available in a month or two I will likely snag one of these from you.

These were units made by CNI for B&W Tek. There are always some popping up for around 100$. Indeed they are cheap, and you don't see us complaining
You can up the power on them a lot...Styropyro did a vid on it a while back. I think some ~80mW can be had out of them if you know what you are doing
