I am sad to do it, but I have to part with my big green labby. I am buying a truck and need the money for a down payment.

The laser is a 400mW rated 532nm laser from CNI. The model number is MGL-532-400. The average power is about 470mW according to the power meter at work, but actual measured power may differ slightly depending on the meter used to test it. The unit has analog modulation with 0-5V input. This input is needed to run the laser. I bought the laser to use in a scanner, but never got around to putting it together. I ran the laser for a few hours total to make sure it was in good order. The laser is TE cooled so it is fine to run for long periods of time. Here are a few pictures of it running. The second green is a 100mW for reference. I paid over $1400 after all the bank fees and shipping from China.

Here is a link to a video of it burning a few matches too:

I also have a scanpro20 scanner set up for sale. The entire deal is still in the box it was shipped in. I took it out to make sure everything was there and then put back until I could put it all together. It has the galvos, the driver card and DMX card.
I paid about 325 for this after shipping from Laser Show Parts.

I can sell these seperate, but prefer to sell them as a set.

Price for the set is $1100 shipped to the US, extra for international.

Seperately if no one wants to buy them set the price for the laser will be $950 shipped and the scanpro20 will be $250 shipped.

PM me with any questions and I'll answer them as best I can.

Man, prices have definitely come down on the bigger DPSS stuff - SHINP sells the AL-400 400mW green 20K system complete turnkey for $855 + shipping, might want to consider lowering your price for a faster sale, just a thought...

They may be cheap, but how is the quality? I personally have no idea if they are good or bad, but I do know the CNI and scanpro are of high quality. I went with CNI because I knew they have good lasers rather than risk it with a company I didn't know about. Not saying the SHINP laser is bad, I jsut don't know myself. Lasershowparts sells my exact laser for $1175 plus shipping.

Shinp uses CNI laser coponents on all their <200mW lasers, the scanners I couldn't comment on - hope that helps

How does the scanpro20 work? Like how do you change the designs and whatnot

The DMX card that comes with the set has its own programmed designs in it already, but it's certainly not much. It can be hooked up to a computer through a DAC and with software, some free some expensive, you can run live shows or load new programming I think. I know there are a lot of cards out there for laser scanners that are expensive, but there are ways to do it with very slightly modified sound card too. I don't know all the gritty details cause I never got much into the project.

How many hours are on these units?

The scanpro has no time on it. I've only taken it out of the shipping box to make sure everything was there. It is completely brand new.

The laser has about 4 hours on it from my testing and playing plus whatever time CNI ran it. I'm guessing total run time is less than 10 hours.

For those of you believing BrewCityMusic, this is in fact a very good deal.

Easy there, Ben - I didn't say it wasn't a good deal, I just stated that if someone wanted a complete unit for a very similar price, they were readily available. My personal OPINION would be to go with a complete tested and tuned system as versus a set of components for the same price range, but again, that's my opinion. As versus buying these components yourself at retail, yes this is a decent price, as long as warranty and support aren't an issue for you.

As an example of a similar nature, there are a million threads regarding O-like, etc for and from the low-power-pointer crowd, yet noone as of yet has said "wait a minute" in regards to the 120-150mW modules at $109 versus the $100 150mW complete KD-style pointer... Same power guarantee, same current draw (therefore same pump) but preassembled, tested and ready for less $$$ - see where I'm going with this? Spend less, pull the module, now you have the same module for less $ and a free host or spend less and get a complete laser instead of PART of a laser - hmmm.

Again - this isn't a bad deal, just IMHO a "different" one than some of the other available options in the stated price range. If you feel you can justify that, great - buy it. I'm not trying to "bash" anyones sale here and I'm not trying to start anything (apologies if it looked that way).

Sure, you can buy a shitty laser that may put out 400mW from some random company for cheaper, but why would you risk your money?

So let me get this straight, CNI makes "good" lasers that they sell to the average Joe Blow, and "Shitty" lasers for their established vendors and/or resellers to dupe unsuspecting suckers with? Boy, that makes sense, risk an established and ongoing business relationship with a high-volume reseller by dumping all your (ahem) "shitty" lasers on them in order to keep the "good stuff" for the little one-time buyer who may or may not ever buy a single laser from you again...

Wow, I never thought of that - what a great marketing ploy, I stand corrected.

Let it go, Ben - I'm walking away anyhow, this is Climbaks sales thread and I don't want to cause any more trouble than I (evidently) already have - sorry Amigo!

No, if it is cheaper then this price AND includes the scanners, housing and everything, then it is not CNI, no matter what they sell. I have a dealer price list if you would like to know the actual cost CNI will sell them for...
