Re: FS: $60 - Complete Lasers - 100mW BR/ 240mW Red

If they are Li+, then they will not go up to 4.25. It is impossible without exploding, a single Li+ cell will go up to 3.7v, no higher safely, and not below 2v without damage or something. So you would need NiMH or NiCd as they go up to around 4.8 or 4.96 with 4 cells, respectively. that is if it is a common rechargeable.

My Understanding is that Protection should kick in at 4.25v, I believe they explode at 4.3v which is why I'm concerned with said charger charging to 4.25v. Might be worth it for me to get a better charger anyways. I have a lot of flashlights.

Re: FS: $60 - Complete Lasers - 100mW BR/ 240mW Red

he got a loc build.
my knowledge on batteries is limited, but these CR2 batteries are rated as "3.6v" and at full charge output 4.25v

i've gone through a couple hundred of them and have yet to have one explode.....i did however make a juice brand AAA battery explode by sticking it in my trustfire charger. 1.5v battery in a 3.6v battery charger = FAIL

Re: FS: $60 - Complete Lasers - 100mW BR/ 240mW Red

I got my BR laser from mohrenberg at the beginning of this week and was very happy with it. The stock host is nice but its kinda long so I made a few small changes to it. First thing I had to do was push the module further into the heatsink to enable me to not use the extension tube and battery spacer. I then had to make a small copper spacer to make an electrical connection from the body to the crown/head. I then used thick rubber o-rings to get rid of the gaps from the end cap to body, and body to head/crown. Pushing the module out of the heatsink also makes it easier to adjust the focus.

I was thinking of doing the exact same thing! (infact I kind of did, using other batterys, not modding the heatsink)

Re: FS: $60 - Complete Lasers - 100mW BR/ 240mW Red

I just got my BR today. Super quality build, and it burns (paper, matches, skin) fast. And some extra parts, as requested. Thanks, Matt! I was completely happy, and then I read this:

Damn you, Drivinfast247! Now I can't leave well enough alone. I am compelled to modify a perfectly good laser before its time! And I have to get a green module, too, for my extra heatsink convertible project! And my low heat soldering iron came today! AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!

OK, I was away for a while but I'm back now. I just put the BR in my pocket and it burned a hole in it. No, wait, that was my wallet, and it's now empty.

Seriously, thanks for a great build and putting up with a n00b like me.

Re: FS: $60 - Complete Lasers - 100mW BR/ 240mW Red

So this comes with the spacer? Also, would you be able to send the module and host separate? I'll probably order one of these early next year if you still have them.

I don't mean to cut in, but yea, it comes with the spacer. I'll be doing a review soon on this laser. I got the LOC build, bloody unreal. ;] Awesome laser, nice tight build.. ;]

Are you done selling complete lasers or can we expect some more in the near future?
