Maybe he's got more than 1?

That's one of the questions I asked him. However, he has not responded to any of my questions.

PLUS, if he does have two (and he has more than one listed just not the same verbiage and issues), what are the odds that both of them will put out 58mW, and be a little hard to start, and "wink out" if you push it past 8mA (which he believes is a symptom of low gas pressure)?

If he has more than one AND mine has shipped, I will apologize. However, without any input from him, I am left with two identical auctions for two identical units, and no money and no communication.

Peace,
dave

I'm sure he has multiple argon laser heads. He always has tons of surplus and multiple items.

My question to heruursciences:

Dear heruursciences,

This is exactly the same auction that I won and paid for on June 8th! What's happening? Is this another laser with the same "issues" as mine? Have you shipped mine? You have not responded to my earlier question here nor to my question in LPF. I expect you to get back with me NOW!

dave

His reply to me"

Your laser head was going to go out tomorrow morning, but since you filed a dispute I must refund your money.

My answer:

Do I look like I just fell off the turnip truck? You want me to believe and accept that you have my unit all packaged up and just sitting there waiting for Saturday to ship it 13 days after the sale went through? It is a PayPal dispute not a claim. That means you and I have the chance to work it out. If it was a "claim" then you would have to refund my money. You have not responded to any questions until I filed the dispute. I expect that you will ship me a working argon laser head. It is what you sold me. It is what I paid for. Since it is all ready to go, you should have no problem getting it shipped out tomorrow and supplying me with a tracking number

The unit on ebay is a customer return- they fried the tube and made it high pressure. We had flooding here in waukesha and my basement was about 3 feet deep in water wreaking all my packing supplies about 2 weeks ago and flooded another 6 inches last week :-[

Everything has been CHAOS. Anyway your laser head will ship tomorrow via priority mail DC number is:

03080070000155463314

PS you are not the first one that thought i resold their item this week.

Well, I'm sorry I had to kick you in the butt to get this communication going. However, without it, I am left to come up with the explanations myself. I will keep my eye out for the unit. I am in summer session now so I am home most of the time.

Peace,

Oh Boy :( I should have seen this thread earlier....5 minutes ago, I just paid for the SAME FREAKING THING. Good Lord.....Looks like I may end up with a wet Argon now :( Or Dave's possibly ? Do NOT cancel the dispute unless you receive it, Dave - I'll work with you if I receive it, and you haven't....I was buying this one as a contingency based on my thoughts of mine being irreparable....but SAM (yup...THE SAM) has FIXED MINE ! WOOT ! Sorry for the mini-jack, but at least the first part of it is relevant :)

Chris and I are talking now. The duplicate auctions MAY have been simply lack of time or desire to re-write the auction page. We all know Chris has multiple units. Stuff is supposed to be going out in the mail tomorrow. At this point, we are waiting. Hopeful. but waiting. I WILL let the forum know when/if this is resolved.

So now you're gonna have two, eh? ;)

Watch out for Chris - Bidding on his auctions was one of the dumbest moves I've ever pulled on eBay. As I understand, sometimes you get a great deal from him, othertimes you wonder why you didn't just kill yourself instead. PM for more details if this concerns you - some are just too nasty for public display as far as I'm concerned.

Now I will have a back-up unit ! It appears that I was "snookered" with my first one - it was damaged BEFORE it was sent to me, and the piss-poor shipping was a deliberate attempt to hide that issue. I am talking about my previous Argon - the one I bought from the former member, Chargerman. Sam, or SAM'S laser FAQ'S spent a good amount of time (but FAST ! WOOT !) looking over the laser, and adjusting it so it would lase again properly. In his professional opinion (Which I respect more than just about ANY laser disciple !) there is a 100% certainty that the damage done to the Argon was done BEFORE it was shipped - so my purchase from Chargerman was a deliberate attempt to defraud me. To all the senior members of this forum that may recall Chargerman - DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HIM unless you use a middleman with a power meter, and the skill to thoroughly inspect any item you may wish to purchase from him.
Pissed is a fairly calm word I would use to describe my feelings, as with shipping to Sam and back, I have now added on an additional $100.00 to the cost of that Argon - and money is NOT easy to come by ! ARRRGH ! Anywho, all's well that ends well, right ? :p

Other than communications lag, I have never had any issues dealing with him...but I do heed your warnings...the Argon I bought from him was $68.00 shipped, so I got a great deal, even if only for parts :p

pseudonomen137 is a rival ebay seller who got VERY jealous when he couldn't get the same prices for certain things, thus he proceeded to flame me on news groups, and message boards. His ebay seller name is Junktronix. If he had a real beef he would post the gripe in the board instead of hiding behind libelous comments in PM's.

Woah! I wondered what happened to Chargerman's argon laser....I saw it listed a couple of times and seriously considered bidding on it. I didn't think he ever actually sold it thru Ebay, though... He used to post pics and videos of it on LC a lot and it appeared to be pretty over-powered. I'm glad I didn't buy it - but I do feel bad for you! I'll consider my self warned, though I don't think he lists much at all on Ebay these days.

Yeah I had a few people do the piss poor pack job to try and cover up the fact it was dead to begin with too. But then again I've also had perfectly good lasers packed with absolutely no packing materials except news paper wrap once over. Every one of them was mis-aligned but once realigned they worked OK.

The worst ever was the fellow i bought those lasos heads from, packed 3 lasos heads 1 uniphase head and 2 power supplies in a single box without ANY packing materials except a once over of newspaper. All the heads made it more or less, but the power supplies needed serious fixing. The heads all needed realignment, and the uniphase head was so far out that it only does 40mw at best because the tube got so badly bent the housing clips the beam

Lol, moron. Junktronix is over in California, Kevin and Nicole - they're good people. I've bought from him before, but I sure as hell ain't him. I WISH I were, he has some cool stuff!

We do have a relationship on eBay though. Remember a buyer who purchased about $200 of stuff from you a long time ago? Well that person (aka. me) asked you for an invoice several times. I even had to pull your info from eBay to try calling you etc. You never sent an invoice, you just ignored me. Then you filed a NPB (non-paying bidder) dispute against me on eBay. I kept asking for an invoice for the combined shipping and all, and you just ignored me. Then you went all the way through with the NPB.

Now that's low jacka**. Did I just bid too cheap for you or what? Not sure what provoked you to try ruining my account like that, but I sure as hell have never been in competition with your scum.

As said, that is just the tip of the iceberg though. I'd prefer to believe you may deserve some sort of a second chance, so I insist on only giving out the other info via PM, but you're really trying what little patience I have for you here! If you really want, I'll post it here on the forum but for your own sake I wouldn't be asking for it.
