I second Gazoo :) I received good service from DX. I just need to return the unit if it is faulty, and I'm getting new one. They even reimburse shipping cost from me to them.

Is your laser guaranteed and tested to be at least same spec or higher than the label (as all laser from LaserGlow and NovaLaser)? If it's not, then what services can you offer that differentiate your shop and DX? Just asking, so you can clarify any skepticism you received from us...
Hi Guys:
I'm new to this forum and greens in general. I bought my first Wicked Core last week and was impressed with dollar value. My question however is: aren't you guys concerned about the IR spewing from DX lasers? And, if the only way they can provide low cost, high powered lasers is by eliminating an IR filter, then your eyesight is in jeopardy and this is not a reputable company. I'm not trying to insult anyone. I'm just interested in preserving your collective eyesight.

Hi Photongeek.

Firstly it has been proven that most of the DX models 30mW and below ARE well IR filtered. The higher output models , while lacking IR filters appear to have a good conversion, with most of the IR turned into 532nm light with surprisingly low 808nm and 1064nm IR leakage.

While IR leakage is generally thought to be a bad thing, by the time it leaves the aperture , it is so diffuse and unfocused that it poses no real threat to eyesight, unless you want to wave the laser about just inches from your eyes.

I am glad you like your Core and its true, the build quality is better than the DX range. but as far as bang for bucks goes , the DX range blows the core out of the water.

If you read further into this forum you will see the dissection that Pseudonomen has done on the core. The MCA is so tiny , that it is already super saturated at just 5mw green output, hence the need for an IR filter.

Yet the DX range , uses a similar pump diode for its low powered versions but with superior MCA can happily produce more green.

Seriously guys - listen to what he has to say here - he is not FORCING anyone to buy from him, he is simply offering a new service - shop here if you like, but do not hammer someone new here for absolutely no reason - that is just downright MEAN !

Welcome to Laser Pointer Forums - enjoy your stay, and possibly you may CONSIDER sending a unit to an established forum member for review purposes ? There are several members on here that have power meters that would be more than heppy to power test it, run it through it's paces and report back to the forum about the quality, etc. One thing for all the members here on LPF to remember is that EVERY company starts somewhere, and this guy is providing links to his site for everyone's consderation - nothing more !

Take it easy - remember that all are welcome here, and member bashing is NOT allowed ! Thanks all :)
hey  , I mean cheap , not cheapest . service and quality are also important , right ?

When you can do all three, good service, good quality and good price....we might be interested. Maybe you can match other's prices.
Our factories make good laser pointers . And we research and make new lasers , such as a pointer with green and red laser , and pointers with different heads .....

Well SenKat or Pseudo would be my first 2 choices to ask especially as you are based in America.

you have a lot of competition out there
if we want quality there's wicked, dragon, nova, laserglow, optotronics etc
if we want cheap crap, there's DX

I hate to beg to dither, well actually I dont, I have never owned a DX Laser but from what I have heard from sources that I trust without a doubt is that the majority of them are very good and well filtered especially the lower ones and higher end models are still filtered but not to the same degree, maybe the build quality of the casing's etc are not to the same standard of say CNI but I have heard of alot more build issues with Wicked than with DX and I cant recall a DX laser as such being RMA'd. Personally these days I would rather spend $100 at DX than at Wicked.

Until anyone has ordered and has experiecne anewstone's customer service, quality of products etc then I think everyone should refrain from comenting. Everyone has to start somewhere afterall.

lol theres no rma's cuz theyre so cheap
i bought a bunch of their "true" 50mW
and now i bought a bunch of their "untrue" 50mW
Personally i treat em as crap. If they break, meh its $30.

They're never up to spec but you get what you pay for. If the other big laser sites ship out underspec lasers like DX, we would bash the crap outta em.

and trust me haha I would be one of the last people to promote wickedlasers

My only reply to this would be...

How can you use the words Powerful and 5Mw in the same sentence?

It's an Oxymoron.
