I've done a LOT of business with SMIDSY in the past & have found him to be an HONEST, RELIABLE, person to do business with. You shouldn't have any problems with this trustworthy individual. rob

Yeah, TJ's right. He needs someone in the USA to take delivery, & THEN forward it on to the NETHERLANDS. Send me a PM, & I'll do it for ya. The streets have gotten cleared a lot faster than I thought they would. rob

I'll help you out. As long as its legit. I dont want to see a box of white powder or anything LOL. Maybe you can return the favor someday. I can always use a bottle of Absinthe.
Absinthe is available in the US, it has been for several years now that it was proven to not be harmful or I should say no more harmful than any other liquor....Maybe it's hard to find in some states, but many liquor stores in Colorado carry it.

About the shipping.
The reason the guy on ebay charges so much is that to prevent a dispute or chargeback, he needs to provide a tracking number or proof of shipment, so he uses priority mail. !st class mail is very cheap, but it's not trackable and packages sent overseas by 1st class mail have a much higher rate of package loss/ non-delivery.

Hi Jack, nice to finally talk to you. I wish I had the extra money to get one of your top of the line gems.

I did not know they sold it in the US. I know the wormwood is an issue, because I'm sure a lot of kids/people would abuse it.

Thanks, good to talk with you too.
I just looked up absinthe on wiki and it was made legal to import into the USA or produce back in 2007. Found it to be safe, so no more abuse by kids or anyone else than other type of alcohol.
I think all the bad rep was from a bad process or something back in the early 1900's.
I like the flavor and got an absinthe kit about 1.5 years ago, same effect as any other liquor just a different flavor.

Just too add to the Absinthe talk.

I too have been looking into getting some after I went to Holland, I checked it out for the UK and turns out it is completely legal to own and drink over here. Obviously it's not too popular and no major stores stock it often, so I'm thinking of ordering off this site:

http://www.lafeeabsinthe.com/store/...inthe-Parisienne-68abv-70cl/product_info.html

The price is pretty reasonable, and for 700ml, who could complain, I believe it's the stuff Tesco's does stock on occasion :)

They also sell sugar spoons and appropriate glasses for a good price. It's not quite the 85% stuff, but if you search around you can source some for decent prices, 68% is more than enough to enjoy the taste though without getting too inebriated in my opinion.

Wormwood contains thujone. Thujone like saffrole (in sassafras) was found to give cancer to mice in doses large enough to be similar in weight to the mouse. Due to this they changed the plants using the ingredients in zippo lighter fluid and other chemicals to remove the alkaloid in American absynth.

So essentially sarsaparilla got you about as high as wormwood did back in the 1980s.

I wouldn't drink US absynth if someone paid me. I don't like when the government adds chemicals to remove the "danger" from established medicinal plants. Luckily I can still buy both in plant form. One 10 extract does about 750 ml of bacardi 151 or adjust to taste.

go to Bouncing Bear Botanicals, Salvia divinorum, Kratom, San Pedro Cactus, Amanita Muscaria and buy the wormwood extract. Add it to any liquor and some anise extract and you are good to go.

I am pretty confident that both wormwood and sassafras never gave anyone cancer. They both have relaxing and spiritual properties that may increase your life by allowing yourself to relax.

There are only 2 causes of natural death. Stress and grief. Without those we would live forever.

Saw that site too. Apparently its legal to import in the US as long as you are not serving it in a bar. I think I'm going to get my girlfriend to order me a bottle for our anniversary next month. I'll let you know if its quality if you dont get one by then.
