O-Like has what you want.

New Style red laser 200mW /adjustable [OLNRL200] - $45.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products

$5.99 over your budget, but they are reliable, and the product will do what you want. In the chance of a failure or it is defective, they will make it right too.

Also, you NEED to get safety glasses, period. There's no excusing it or debating it.

Red laser safety goggles/590-780nm protective goggles [OLRLG650] - $14.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products

Customs is not a problem. O-Like is not on the US .gov's radar at all. I've never heard of an O-Like shipment that's been intercepted.

I've been looking around and have seen Ray Foss, have another laser. Can this one also suitable for me?

www.rayfoss.com
http://rayfoss.com/productn.asp?ArticleID=4

Thanks for the suggestion, but with everything it would come out to $70+ shipping included.. If not I can just wait a few weeks, days for some more money! I just need one that can light items, Thanks.

Btw do you prefer O-Like or Rayfoss?

Edit1.. Ive seen another laser.. added into post

Rayfoss is well liked and a reliable seller here too.

However, >50mW is not going to be a reliable burner, especially with no ability to focus the beam, if it burns at all. You might get a wisp of smoke off of black paper. (However, the green will be a LOT more impressive visually...)

Even at 100mW on up, an adjustable focus lens is going to be a must for reliable burning, tape cutting, CD Case drilling.

Balloon popping, and making pinholes in plastic trash bags is what 50mW will do reliably.

Have you thought of building one yourself?
(It is kind of what this forum is about)

There are kits available for less than $40.
Start by figuring out if you can afford goggles, then decide if lasers are for you.

Focusing Laser Host with Matching High Power Red Laser Diode Driver - Detailed item view - OdicForce Lasers Online Shop
You need different goggles for red vs. green and blue.

Tricky for me to say, I am an electrician and were not too worried about messing up my first build. :D

Building your own, even with a kit*, makes you a more useful member of the forum.
It may also get you hooked on a very expensive hobby.
http://laserpointerforums.com/f51/i-want-build-laser-thread-52972.html

You can get the O-like goggles for $15, remember to buy a pair for each person you want to show off the burning to. Then get the O-like** 200mW red for $45, that will set you back $60+ and give you a chance to figure out if lasers are for you.

If you want a green laser you will have to shell out another $20 minimum for the goggles for that wavelength before you order a laser. The plus is that they can be had down to $14 for .app 50mW.

*The 300mW kit looks identical to the O-like laser.
**The Rayfoss does not look focusable, a must for burning.
