Hi everyone at Laser Pointer Forums.
I'm looking for a laser which I could use to light the fireworks this New Year.
It should be shipped from a place in Europe, because then I don't have to pay taxes (25%)
Also it shouldn't cost more than 80$, but it should be able to light fuses...
Is this possible to get or am I wrong?

Best Regards

You want a Blu-Ray laser with an output of at least 120mW minimum. Look around, they come up often under $100. Its not easy though, you have to make sure its well focused.

Really? Also if it has to be shipped from a European provider (shipped from Europe)?
I have looked on Ebay.co.uk, Ebay.de and here on this forum - but I can't find anything! :(

Give it a few days. Keep in mind high power lasers are illegal in the UK and other countries. You can get one shipped to you in parts from anywhere. Just have them put a cheap price on the deceleration. Then just assemble it yourself.

But not in Denmark
So you don't know any companies in Europe which is selling those powerfull BluRay lasers?
As if it should arrive before New Year, it has to be ordered and shipped soon!

you can not buy it from ebay. because ebay don't allow over 5mw hand-held laser pointer in US site, over 1mw hand-held laser pointer in european sites. you can try on some sites from China. DX, Olike, Rayfoss, Laserlands. I am from Laserlands.
and don't worry about the tax, package usually are declare as low value. refering to our experience, our item delivery time of air mail exported from Beijing to EU is about 8-15 days. hope it is helpful to you:)

If you should recommend one from Laserlands which should be able to light fuses, then which one would you recommend?

Hey,
I'm in the UK and I have most of the parts listed above (I have PHRs instead of GGWs, but both should manage to light fuses fine) - if you're interested I'm sure we can work something out. I have a few Dorcy Jr hosts coming, and if you're quick you may be able to buy one of the last few heatsinks for it, custom made by Dark Horse (Dark Horse Custom)

From my experience lighting things with a laser takes a little practice... A lighter or even better a lit cigar (I smoke a Cuban and light fireworks with one every new years) would be a much more practical way to light your fireworks ;)

I know it would be more practical, but I allways burn my fingers on the fuse :banghead: But it would also be a nice effect if I lit the fuses using a laser

Ever think of using a stick lighter...

Lasers are not instant burn like it is on some videos. You have to focus the beam to a very small point, and have an extremely steady hand to hold it still on one spot. If you move to far left, or right, front or back, its not going to work. Also its a huge eye danger, so you need goggles too. Not only for eye protection, but to reduce the glare so you can get the bean to a pin point. In this case, fantasy is different than reality.
