Just what it says...

For those of you non-violet equipped... this is a chance to get one at a very competitive price. I'll have this on here for whoever wants one. I have one right now, but with the BluRay GB orders going in as they are, I will be well equipped yet again ;)

The whole unit is encased in a small box with the electronics completely stored away and protected from harm.

Simply put, this is a 405nm laser diode that is NOT stacked as are the PS3 diode. This one has only one diode and it is Violet. These tend to be more resilient and they last longer based on my experience.

Here are some pictures of the laser:

Handheld:

Asking price is $155 shipped domestically. :D

Also, if anyone who has made an order from the GB diodes and would like theirs upgraded to a full laser, there will be an option to do that :)

where the heck did you get a spicificly violet diode and how are you driving it?

every single one of my attempts at a blu-ray laser has failed due to lack of a good driver this would be a grat help. i have already wasted 2 diodes :'( :'(
and where did you get the case i really like it

They come from BluRay only devices, or if you're lucky... from a drive that uses 2 diode... I got the latter. :)

Rubber --

This is related to a new group buy-- Too much to repeat all the info but there's a bunch here if you look --- I got 3 coming.. Several driver posts are here too. Redundancy is a limiting factor on the advance of knowledge. Please use the search function.

Not quite the same as the ones WL uses... WL is running them pulsed... these are CW ;) And they're focusable too :p

sorry for confusing i was talking about the sonar from wl and how yours is soooo much better at about 1/20 of the cost. i couldn't imagine a bare diode costing $2,000

Didn't they claim their costs $1000 or something for the diode... ::)

I could see where the money goes now... ;D ;D
