Current highest offer- 90 Shipped !!! Battery included!!!

This 6x laser uses the SF-AW210 6x diode / rayfoss boost driver (47nF cap soldered)

Comes with the standard aixiz acrylic lens (with back cut out for higher output)

It runs of a single 10440 battery.

The driver is set at 200mA.

Estimated output: <200mW
Wavelength: 405nm +/- 5nm

Recommended duty cycle: 1min ON / 30s OFF (when warm, let it cool a bit)

It burns through white paper, lights matches...pops balloons....melts plastic....

I can light a match from across the room.

I have included many pics taken with my iPhone. (sorry but my iPhones low light images aren't so great)

Also, it looks/feels much better in person compared to the pics.

Re: 6x laser in stainless-steel host for sale !

How is it build? Heatsink or pressed? I know that host, how is the module staying in there?

The aixiz module is attached to a metal threaded tubing which is on the inside.

There is no heatsink, since this is a very tight build. The heat goes from the diode to the module to the host.

However the host is pretty heavy so it can take a bit of heat.

Re: 6x laser in stainless-steel host for sale !

Thanks for reminding me lol.

Runs of a rayfoss boost driver, smd resistor set to 200mA.

Also soldered a 47nF cap to the + / - incase of voltage spike issues.

The driver is rated for 3V - 6V input.

So a 10440 (4.2v fully charged / 3.6v nominal) works perfectly.

PS: Used my new soldering iron / solder paste. PERFECT solder joints each time in a fraction of a second!!

Clean joints too, solder paste FTW

PSS: I drilled a hole in the internal tubing so that the driver fits perfectly.

Awsome build, nice work!
Although if it were me I'd use 1x AA host, to put 14500 battery in.
It will last much longer, and since it is a boost driver, what is a runtime off one 10440 batt?

I think +-2 hours.. the battery probably 500ma and the laser run on 200ma..
PS, how much it costs?

Umm... my friend you mixed something up.
First all 10440 batteries are no more than 300 or 310 mAh, they are always DOUBLE rated.
Second, diode uses 200 mA. But you forgot the driver, which uses extra current in order to 'make' needed voltage ( ~6V for bluray diode).
Third, I had a bluray with 1117 driver, meaning it used 100 mA precisely. Power start to drop about 15 minutes of usage.

Meaning that 10mAh left in an battery doesn't mean the laser will burn.

Now, since I had 100 mA - 15 minutes run time (then power begins to drop) on TWO batteries
, he cannot have 2 hours on ONE battery with 200 or 300 mA usage.

Now my friend Tabish: How long is the runtime, before need to charge the batt? :p

Re: 6x laser in stainless-steel host for sale !

I have no idea. I am still on my first battery.

EDIT: Hmm, not a single offer yet....

EDIT: Hmm, not a single offer yet....
People wanting to buy a laser tend to look in the buy/sell/trade section :p
MY BAD, this is a BST section.
Mixed up different topics sorry!

200mA for this diode is a crime...

Actually this is precisely the right longlife current!
I asked Susie, their graph shows that diode blows at 375 mA. I asked:
Hey is it ok to drive these with AMC7135 , meaning 350mA then?
She said: No , 200mA is safe current.
Everything else is a lottery...

So, you know that this laser is longliving one...

Re: 6x laser in stainless-steel host for sale !

The thing with these diodes is, they are not consistent.

I believe some will simply die if set this high.

However, other like this one work just fine at 200mA.

Yes, I've read that 125mA can kill one out of 20 PHR diodes. I believe it was a sticky or something.
Therefore, no need for risk, few mW more won't make your life better, but it can risk your diode!

Interesting, didn't know that. I wonder what fraction of AW210 die at 200mA

I'm guessing that most survive, and the weak ones die out.

Re: 6x laser in stainless-steel host for sale !

And how much mW would you get out of this diode if its set to 200mA ??

Just a query - Tom
