Default Blu-Ray Burner sleds

I'm wondering if these seem to be a good deal for a higher power laser.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong ( and I really would love to be) but I do believe we have found those 8X sleds to be no better than the SF-AW or GGW diodes.

These prices are great, specially for BDR-203.

I'm wondering if this is fake or not.

Yeah, i was hoping someone would also be able to figure that out as well. For about $45-50 on a 8x i would think that something would be a little off...

These are not BDR-203, they are BDR-S03

Actually that nickname is pretty misleading, as the diodes in real BDR-S03 and 203 drives are identical. That diode is a fake 8x diode which is actually from a 2x drive.

so the 8x diode in that sled is worse than the 6x? For the prices listed are any of them truly worth buying and using at higher powers than the standard PHR?

Don't bother with the S03

Run the SF-AW210 at less than 180mA

Run the H10L at less that 150mA

Run the PHR at less than 120mA

Peace,
dave
