black plastic host good for labby

As a host for a labby, you ought to use something conductive, with a fairly good heat capacity...

that is true that plastic is not conductive.. but there is a way to fix that and the melting point of this plastic is is well over 100 hundred degrees.. properly heat sinked it should not be a problem and 5 of the 15 was to cover my shipping cost.
To make this conductive all you would have to do is drill some holes to except a sheet metal screw or some thing similar and put two pieces of thin metal down and then use that for your connectivity.. still makes a good host and I do not understand why you all are being so negative... I thought the whole point of the forum was to encourage and help fellow laser builders and not rag on new ones... I guess I was wrong.

No one is saying that it absolutely shouldn't be used for a lower power laser diode that doesn't need good heatsinking.

How dare i state my opinion?!?! You are getting neg repped vortish, because
1) you are trying to justify selling plastic boxes as laser hosts, when you can get the same thing (project boxes) for much less- not only this, but you fiercely refute anyone who brings this up
2) you tried to neg rep several of us (remember: several of us LONG TIME members) for simply stating opinions.

The reason for the neg rep is the way that you made you comments.. I would have been fine with the comments. If they were worded in a way that did make it sound like you know every thing and I am a idiot... That is the way it came across. Edit.... please do because I almost -rep'd you. this in all honesty is the worst FS thread ive seen. Bad product, and a rude seller.. And the price is ridiculous. I totally understand your attempt to make some extra money and you have ever right to start this thread, I hate to see people argue here though..
