These have been approved for sale by RHD and Benmwv.
I bought a pcb board of 100 benboosts off Mohgasm, since he doesn't have the spare time to keep producing them.
I ordered parts to complete the 100 boards, along with the set resistors to supply any of the combinations in post #1 of the original Benboost thread located here :
http://laserpointerforums.com/f67/free-diy-open-source-boost-driver-tested-working-71433.html
All Surface-mount parts are now in hand. I also have 100 bubble mailers coming from ebay, which might end up being the slowest of my 'necessities' to come in, but I should be able to start assembling these very early next week, and probably ship them towards the end of the week. If I don't have my bubble mailers on Monday the 23rd I will buy them @ 1$ each at office depot, just so orders don't get backlogged...
Once I have finished production of the presales, and can have some of these on hand, I will try to keep a stock on hand and available to ship at all times, which might incur more costs for me. Around the end of next week (april 20) the presale should come to a close and I will have to revisit my final costs of production + loyalties + packaging and shipping. If there's 2-3$ left after everything, I'll be happy to keep producing them. I enjoy the work and the interactions with the members of this community. Just giving a heads up on the possibility of pricing changes in the future, regarding shipping costs.
Update : Just had another 100 boards shipped to me expedited, which means I should be getting these no later than middle of next week, and they should start shipping before my birthday! (4/20)
These boards are the 'original' R6 R9 version :
It HAS polarity protection
It does NOT have OVP (don't power it on without a load)
Unfortunately, the original provider for the LM3410s is out of stock, and I had to find a second source that comes to about 2.40$ each after shipping and taxes, making my total cost for these about a dollar higher than originally anticipated.
I will keep a master list of how many are sold on the first reply in this thread, and they will be assembled and shipped in that order. They will be inspected and individually be tested on a custom rig.
For that reason, I can not make em as cheap as Moh originally had them.
1$ from EVERY driver sold is going to Benmwv for the time spent designing and sharing this driver design with us.
REVISED PRICING
11.50$ per driver
2.50$ Shipping in North America
4.50 $ Shipping International.
Payments should be sent as CANADIAN funds, you know, so Paypal doesn't double butt-rape me.
If you want these in unassembled kit form, so you can assemble your own, then -1.50$ for you!
Paypal for 'goods' - PLEASE include proper confirmed shipping addy in your paypal payments :
