I was using Bell in the past but i switch to Videotron since Bell is CRAP !

They should be there next week...lettermail is usually pretty fast.I know Jerry received his wed or Thu...

On a different note I now have 25+ boards completed just needing set resistors and testing. They will be done tonorrow after which i will close the presale. Bubble mailers got here Friday... updates and pics when i get home.

What voltage are your caps rated for? I need at least 23v.

EDIT: Nevermind... I need something that can handle three batteries...

Caps used here are 16v... There are plenty of more cost effective ways of running high wattage leds. Besides thats going to be drawing like 20a of current at the source...if you were to boost off a single cell

Yeah, I was just brainstorming ideas. My driver space is kinda small in this flashlight so a big 'ol inductor just doesn't fit.
And it's three cells.

I'm still waiting too. Regular Canada mail isn't fast. When I was buying a lot of lasers from RHD I had to start paying him for faster mail because I was not able to wait that long!

And I'm in the US.

Now to my question... Fiddy, could you post your sense resistor selections?

I really want more choices in the 440-575 range than the original posted parts list provided. I haven't had a chance to sit down and come up with a good sense resistor parts list.

I'll rep you 1 and offer you an Irish blessing. :yh:

Actually I shipped friday after mail had allready left, so for all logical purposes, I shipped MONDAY. From the east coast canada on monday, to the west coast USA on friday... (to ghostchrome).

I have to say, that's pretty fast.

tsteele, you're comparing regular PARCELS to regular LETTERMAIL. They're two different things. My packages go thru the lettermail route because they're less than 20mm thick. THIS is the service that I was saying was 'rather' quick for cheap.

Gotcha, please note - I wasn't complaining about you, just to be clear. Just the mail service. It doesn't matter anyway, I only have the lm3410 - the magical Q series

- at the house right now.

Those LM3410's are SMALL.

I have a whole new level of respect for Moh and those of you who do this on a regular basis. It is real easy to sit back and think, "this looks easy!" until you start doing it and realize JUST how small this stuff is, and just how bad our eyes start to get after 40.

I am near sighted and it used to work in my favor because although I needed glasses or contacts for driving and outdoor stuff, I could see REALLY well up close. Now that is starting to recede as well.

Getting old sucks, but it beats the alternative!
