Re: Laser Meter - $139

Radiant Alpha laser meter - $139 plus $10 for priority mail shipping.

Selling my Laser meter. I am selling it a little over cost because it is NEVER in stock. He seems to hardly ever build new ones. And if he does they sell out in literally 15 minutes. I had to sit and refresh the page all night to get this one a while back. And I had been waiting for months for it to come back in stock.
Please don't crap on the thread. If it's not the price the want to pay then please move along it's not for you. I'm not a charity and I need the money, and think this is still a very fair and great price for a laser meter.

This is still in brand new condition. I used it less than 10 times. Works perfect. I will ship it immediately and priority shipping (generally 2 days to reach you) so you have it fast. No waiting months just for it to come in stock when he gets around to building new ones. After waiting months no losing out to the guy who was home refreshing the page all day while you were at work or out to dinner. For a little more money you get it NOW.

USA only please. You are also welcome to come see it or pick it up at my house if you live near Santa Rosa, CA.

*edit* for comparison the comparable 1W Deluxe LaserBee 1 costs $299 for a stand alone that doesn't need a computer
I see you are calling me here again... Why don't you compare your
LPM to some other LPM...

Since you insist on comparing your LPM to a LaserBee I stand alone...
here is a brand new one for only $139.99 plus shipping....

LaserBee I (1000mW) 1Watt Laser Power Meter +Thermopile on eBay.ca (item 150582983860 end time 02-Apr-11 21:26:17 EDT)

It works right out of the box...

Re: Laser Meter - $139

Holy crap guys....live and let live :)

At $139 + $10 shipping it's a great price regardless of anything else (competing LPMs, "list price", whatever). He's not capitalizing on anything here. When the RadiantAlpha went to open market bidding on eBay, it had 27 bids, and reached $160:
Radiant Alpha Series 2W Thermal Laser Power Meter | eBay

You can't buy a RadiantAlpha new right *NOW*, so as far as my logic is concerned - $160 is the market price for a RadiantAlpha, and Droid, by selling his for $139, is presenting quite a bargain.

If someone wants a LaserBee, they'll go order a LaserBee. If someone wants a RadiantAlpha they'll be excited by this sales thread.

Can't we just all get along? ;)

Re: Laser Meter - $139

This is a good deal IMO as well.

I agree with "rhd",

But thank you Laserbee for "starting" to bring down your prices...

EDIT:

Not trying to "Slam" Sorry I did say it a little sarcastically, But meant what is said.

Thank You Laserbee for offering a nicely Competitively priced unit to us  You didn't have a "real" competition (because there NEVER in Stock) But you still are bringing your prices down and thats kind of you. Can't wait till the market comes down a little more tho, IMHO it's a little High Still (But Laserbee has nothing to do with that ATM The market might adjust and then I'm sure more of his stuff will come down due to his costs coming down)

Re: Laser Meter - $139

That's fine I have no problem with that one you are selling. Although with shipping mine is cheaper and faster shipping. Plus mine has a durable box around it. I did not see that one before since it was not on your website. But please next time send any information in a PM. I can make adjustments to the post as necessary.

Cheers to you my friend

Since the OP chose (more than once) to use the Laserbee as a comparison to show how good his price really was, I would EXPECT Lasersbee to come to defend his product. If a company does NOT defend its product, it loses the right to do so ;) The price of a Laserbee really has nothing to do with the price of this LPM. The comparison was posted publicly. The defense should also be public.

A public "slam" such as this should also require a response. I hope that he will not do it now, but I would not blame him if he did. Agreeing that PM's would be better and then posting a public statement about pricing is about as internally inconsistent as you can get. Listen to your own advice or accept that others "do as you do," rather than "do as you say,"

Droid has already had to re-post his FS thread. It would be a shame for this one to be closed because of fighting

Peace,
dave

Re: Laser Meter - $139

If somebody wants this, and wants to pay $40 more than he could get a brand new one for, let em. It's called supply and demand. My dad bought a 1963 corvette stingray rear split window back when he was young for a few grand, if he had kept it, he could sell it for $50,000++.

That's because you can rarely find them, especially in mint condition.

Absolutely. However, we have a long history at LPF of watching out for each other. If we think that someone is charging too much, we say so. If we think that someone is acting unfairly, we say so. If we believe that someone is offering a sub-standard product, we say so.

Also, comparing this instance to a 1963 'Vette is a VERY false analogy ;)

Re: Laser Meter - $139

And I completely agree with you dave, I am just saying, since I have been here at LPF, around only 6 months so far, that an LPM for under $300 was a fairy tale.

I love seeing more members getting LPM's, doing tests, and figuring out real powers, and learning more about the hobby, as which companies give false claims of their products. I think it's a good thing these alphas can be had for $100 if you can get it in the short time they are available, so if he can offer this one for $140, which is known to be a good product, and IMHO well worth $100-$150 at least, that he is just giving the community a chance at this product, for a good price.

I do NOT think that it is right to compare other people's products, especially a highly respected vet of the forums, I think he could make this sell easily enough without bringing other companies/products into the equation. UNLESS OF COURSE that he is ready for the other companies defense as you said.

And the 63 stingray is just a dream of mine floating around in my head, I got to ride in it when i was 8, and have wanted it back ever since. So sorry If I am boring with my daydreaming, I'm just a highly optimistic person:beer:

Slam? Where do you see a slam posted by me? You HAVE to have me confused with somebody else on this thread jerry, because I in NO way slammed you what so ever.

Re: Laser Meter - $139

oh okay, no hard feelings, and sorry if i went off. I didn't mean to cause trouble or make anybody mad, I just don't want people thinking that I try to slam others, especially well respected vets who offer great products to the community.

Sorry for the confusion jerry

Re: Laser Meter - $139

Can someone please tell me why doesn't Radiant Electronics make more units?

It looks kind of strange, because it is against economic logic, apparently.

You would expect him to make a lot of them in order to supply the demand (and make more money), don't you?

Or am I missing something here?
