This is a Mitsubishi ML501P73-02 laser diode driven with a lazeerer continuous ground adjustable X-Drive set to 1300 mA and put into a sinner's Cyprus II all copper host. It peaked at a little over 1 watt. I purchased these diodes a little over two years ago when they were much more expensive than they are now. I apologize for not including a beam shot, but I haven't been able to get one that would fit the photo parameters yet.

Here are some beam shots. Interestingly, though I used a G-2 lens with this build and the beam divergence along the slow axis is terrible, it still burns wood at 12" or less.

Eracoy, it's not for sale. I was hoping to get a beam shot for this thread by the end of today that I could include in this thread. I just wanted to show this build to the forum.

Alright. I assumed that if it was in the Buy Sell Trade section it would be up for one of the three. Good build by the way. The cyprus has always been one of my favorite looking hosts.

I didn't mean for it to show up in the B,S,T section. I just wanted to show this build. I'm hoping to get a beam shot posted soon. Thank you for the compliment. :)

Nice build good work 1W+ in a 638nm diode, @1300mA. Nice host to ..

Hi,
Try to see it with a 3 element or a 2 element lens. At 1W you won't loose much and just to check out the divergence change. Nice build buddy lots of modding involved. + Rep Pal..

Thanks, Rich. I have used it with several compound lenses, but I keep the G-2 mounted on it for the power. Even with a three element lens, the divergence still stinks with these diodes. I might try a build with cylindrical lenses as I still have at least one more diode left.

Yeah, But, you got to love the power. These diodes were twice as much as they are now when I ordered them.

Haven't yet decided, but I think it will be something new for me. Either a 7 watt NUBM44, or a 1 watt 520nm. I have hosts for just about anything I want. Some drivers, too. I'll have to order the diodes, though.

Those are both good ideas. 1W+ of 520 is about as bright as anything else out there. I see you have some good 445s. If you want something in a higher powered blue, I'd recommend the NUBM07E. I'm getting almost 5W out of mine, and the beam color is a completely different blue than a 445. Unless you want those last couple watts from a NUBM44, that is. Either way will make an impressive laser.

Than you Eracoy. I'll look into the NUBM07E. I don't have a 465nm laser, yet, and a 5 watt one would be nice.

Is anyone going to move this thread lol? Nice build though either way.
