Re: 6 Steps To Prevent You From Getting Scammed

yeah its only been a few days but i sent some pm's and posted in his thread but nada and hes been on a bunch sense then. Ill give it a while more though, just curious to see what you guys thought.
thanks:)

If the seller was communicating with you regularly then once you have paid they just stop then for me that would be a bit of a red flag... I personally would give it 7-10 days then start to worry. As IE said, things can happen.. People get sick etc but after that time I would expect at least 1 message for reassurance.
It also depends on how you paid? If you paid through PayPal not as a gift then you are fine and shouldn't worry about losing money.
If you paid cash, WU or even bank deposit I would start getting worried.

Hey Red light special, you are starting to look like a carnival barker for lucklaser, you are double posting and sort of spammy on different threads with pretty much the same exact information. Those are all no-no's here on the forum. We have a lot of patience (I made a major mistake yesterday and Bowtie Guy came to my rescue :) ) but you are really starting to go out on thin ice. I am not trying to be mean or rude but just be careful and read some of the sticky's to get familiar with the rules here.

Here's something I do to keep from being scammed on a forum, if someone is asking you to PayPal money to them as a friend so the percentage PPal charges are eliminated, just pay the extra percentage on top but don't pay as a friend, pay as goods or services, that way there can be no complaint and you are still protected. Whether a trusted member or not, you really don't know who you are dealing with, these accounts can be taken over, inactive members in good standing might have used a password which can be guessed from a group of 100 common passwords and now, a rip off artist giving you their own PPal address and not the member at all.

I read the instructions and guidelines and am interested in selling a laser on this site rather than ebay

I am using a cell phone so my view of this site is... scewed a bit*

I am a brand new member and am not sure where to begin here...

It was suggested that I get with a trusted member to mediate the transaction which is sounding pretty fair to me so please hear me out, not sure how to begin a post on this or a thread or a forum LOL I am completely new to posting online and posting here so if this is an unacceptable comment please feel free to delete but do not ban

Try in the WELCOME section first.
This is not the place.

Are you going to necro post every thread? Unless you have something new to contribute please do not revive older threads

Could be someone wanting to sell something so they make 20 random posts. I'll keep watch.

I was told I had to comment on a certain number of posts before being allowed to comment or post in certain other posts. Just trying to meet my quota...sorry?
