picture of the tube, the arf power mosfet sub assembly, and the osc/preamp board. You'll need 5v at 300mA, 12V at 4A, and 32 to 38V at 10A

A picture of the unitt showing what you get, It has all the critical RF drive components tuned in, tweeked, and set up ready to run! Just add 32-38V at 8A and 12v at 4A and 5V at 250mA use the driver board shown above! Alternately, you may even drive the laser tube's RF amplifier with an old CB radio and send your voice over the laser's beam! WAY COOL!

Plug and play units are $85.00 in the USA! You will need either 32-38V @ 10A plus a 5W CB radio, OR the optional RF pre-amp Driver board and 5v at 300mA, 12V at 4A to run it. I will not make turn key systems out of these for legal reasons.

Don't suppose you have a suitable fiber to carry the output?

One of the lower powered tubes (say 8W or so) would do a decent job of soldering, if I remember correctly. With my fine motor tremors, soldering with a regular iron is virtually impossible. Fiber delivered laser, however, is quite another matter, since I don't have to compensate for the same weight.

I had been planning to use a bunch of PHRs to do that, but a CO2 laser seems like the more attractive solution.

Price has been changed a bit since i went ahead and set them up with the RF drive electronics! $150 DELIVERED for a working co2 laser that is AIR COOLED is dirt cheap!

A DC power supply is required to run them, I cannot make them turn key for legal reasons, mainly having to do with the RF shielding needed for CDRH compliance.
