Hello !

I'm selling this 500mw 650nm green laser.
I've made some pictures and a video so you can see how it's working.
I'm in Paris, France but I can ship it.
I'm selling this one because I have two of these :D

Here are some pictures (link below)

and here is the video. I tested a 50mw first and then the 500mw (link below)

--> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U74O4NYAYLM

The laser comes with a case, a key (for the back of the laser), two 3.7V Li-ion 2400mAh batteries, and a charger.
All this for $300 shipping to USA inclueded.

a) both those are 532 nm, not 650

b) the first does not look like 50, and the second does not look like 500...

c)PASS!

Looks like a piece of junk you would find on Focalprice or such.

Where did you get this from originally?

While it's entirely unrelated to the sale, I like your picture of the laser through the arc de triomphe. Pretty sweet!

you're right about the 532nm.
It should be a mistake on the label.

I tryed it and it goes miles away. Why do you say it doesn't look like a 500 ?

Video just shows that it is no where near 500mW. Maybe 100mW tops.

The beam would be much brighter if it was really 500mW.

Check this video of crazy Dave (awesomelasers) doing a comparison of a real 50mW to a real 500mW:

I'll offer $43 for your laser.

I just viewed your video. Sorry. That does not appear to be anywhere near 500mW

Peace,

but could I "touch" a building at 4km away with a 100mw with a very bright green line ?

simple. Let me google that for you

i have a 50mw that can be seen very very far away simply because of its awesome divergence, you are peddling garbage at a intense markup and cannot even correctly state the wavelength.

crazy daves video also shines some light on impossibilities of your claims.

btw, heres a half watt after an hour of on time on a 92 degree day... ;)

flagada, i will do you a favour that is rare on here because of the propensity to bash people as soon as they stick their heads up. most of the people on here will not buy a laser unless it has a verified power meaning it is shown working on a lser power meter. it is also important that the manufacturer or the details of the build are documented. one of the more critical things is does it have an IR filter or not because without an IR filter the power output will be much higher than the power of the 532 alone becauase it will be mixed with invisible IR. sorry you had to be subjected to the immediate bashing on this forum. the best thing you can do is adjust your price to reflect the fact that you can not verify the power or the build quality, or provide more detaila around that and show it working on a laser power meter.

there are a lot of commercial manufactures out there that sell lasers that are way under spec meaning they run lower than what they are advertised and/or have IR in them making the visible light more powerful than it is. many of us have been burned (ripped off) by this tactic and so are very reactive to lasers that dont come with proof.

if you have any questions PM me as this is a for sale board. i am posting this publicly in hopes to help other new people that might stumble on this.

Thats the same one found on rayfoss.com or many other chinese websites. It is designed for a 12 mm standard module, 200mW tops. Anything after 200mW will require a much larger host.
I hope you did not pay to much for it, as it looks like someone misrepresented the laser's output to you

Am I the only safety comment? You have to be CAREFUL with that thing... even 50mW is not something you wanna shine around moving people and cars and whatnot. You should only shine it at the sky if people like that are around...

The fact that it's mislabeled also throws up a major red flag. It shows whoever made it either had little to no QC, or no knowledge of lasers.

Another thing is notice the label says <500mw.. that means it's output is LESS THAN 500mw. The laser could be 5mw and the sticker would still be true.

On an OT note, what is your avatar pic of madog? I know it's 532 but what are you bouncing it off of to get such at nice (at least in the small pic) starfield and galaxy effect?

If monsieur Flagada Jones does not have a power meter then maybe he can tel us if this laser does have an IR filter or not,... And what about showing us a video of how fast and furious,... this laser can burn true a CD case,... ;)
