Hey Guys! :)

I am looking for a reliable green pointer from 500 up to 600 mw.
It sould be in excellent condition, but most of all the output should be stable.
I had a sky 300mw which dropped at least 50% all the time so I had to send it back!
Please offer something reliable, good quality.

Thanks!

If you have a large budget, go to www.laserglow.com or Optotronics Laser Products Laserglow's Hercules is large and has fan cooling, making it the only portable 200mW+ greenie with unlimited duty cycle to my knowledge. Opto's RPL is very stable but not unlimited duty cycle. It needs to cool down after about 6 minutes if I remember correctly.
Both are really really good, reliable lasers from trusted companies.

Optotronics is the only resource I believe in for such a high powered handheld.

O-like or Rayfoss are great for 200mW or even a bit more, but for 600mW... ->Optotronics!

Try searching around the forum for reviews of the higher power Rayfoss and O-like units.. personally I doubt they will be up to spec. We have had great experiences with ones from O-like below 200mW, as Albert said, but I seem to remember the few people buying higher power units receiving underspec and unstable ones.

If you want the best of the best the Hercules or RPL from laserglow and Optotronics are what you should be aiming for.

if you are restricted by the budget then of course rayfoss or O-like. Maybe it won't be all the stable it should and maybe it won't be 600mW, but it for sure will be better (in pure output) than the 225mW you'll get on Optotronics ;)

I guess a new review is on the way :D

I have reviewed the DX 500mw which is the same unit as the old-style O-Like 500mw (US$ 519 in their bargain zone). Just scroll through the review section.

I got this from Rayfoss when asking about stability:

Hello ,Good day!

Thanks for your intesting on our product!
Regard RF532-650mw QB
We desiged this laser with separated-crystal which enable the laser has a stable performance.
As long as you can operate the laser per our user manual i.e. obey green laser duty circle---30-60seconds on and 5-10seconds off.
Then we would offer 3 month qulity warranty and lifetime half price exchange for main accessories of the laser.

Would you guys trust them?

Aint gonna happen. Your trying to buy a spaceshuttle on $50 and it just won't happen. Oh you could probably get a really cheap model rocket of the space shuttle, but it won't go anywhere near space, or carry any passengers. You'll get one that may PEAK around there, but will never stay there for long.

My suggestion, save the money. Add to it, and purchase the only true laser capable of handling that kind of power for a LONG TIME. Laserglow Hercules.(if you want portable) and CNI (if you want a labbie)
