We havn't even verified beyond a doubt that these sleds are the same as whats in a 6X.  I'm waiting for verification.

From AMK's 6x GB:

I don't know if this was mentioned already or not, or if it's even taken for granted, but.....

I can confirm, that these really are 6x sleds! The red diode is that long can "Dilda diode", and the blu has the beam circumsizer on it! :D

Maybe i'm the only one who was wondering about this, but it definitelly feels good to know for sure.. :)

;) ;D

Beam Circularizer is non-jewish focusing lens

I think he means the dot is more round as compared to the 803T dot, which has been noticed by IgorT

I might buy a diode in an AixiZ module. I need to make sure you are doing this for sure.

He he, yeah, I'm sure I'm doing these, and the module part, is something new to me, but I'm sure I can do it. I guess you want the red diode as offered in heat sink?

I am somewhat surprised these aren't in much more demand ??? -Glenn

I'm sure once everyone starts getting them from the group buy and talking about them (and how totally awesome they are ;D), there will be more interest.

Yeah. AMK's GB just moved about 60 of these. The ones sitting waiting on them and a few others have already, temporarily, satisfied their need for them. Plus people have gotten used to blu-ray diodes for $15. Most of the younger ones on the list don't remember us paying $50 (and more) to buy an XBOX HD DVD player just to take a "chance" we could get a PHR-803T diode.

They also don't understand how much better these diodes actually are ;)

Peace,
dave

Re: 6X Diodes $50 ea. in heat sink

As my previous statement above in post #14 they hadn't been verified as the same and now we've gotten verification that indeed they are not.

I normally hate nay-sayers, but I just had a gut feeling that these weren't the same sleds. Close yes. Same no. I've kept my negativism to myself and just waited. It's still a good sled and capable of 200mw of power or so. It's still a good deal in my estimation. however, I wanted the 6x sled for the beam profile not the output power.

Re: 6X Diodes $50 ea. in heat sink

I wouldn't. It's still a great diode pair for the price. Essentially it breaks down to a 6x diode and an open can red for $50
