471nm 1.5W+ Nichia NDB7675 in module w/ Custom "Edge Driver" @ 2.7A & G9 Lens

This is a Nichia NDB7675, pushed to (and spectro'd at) 471.5nm, with a pre-soldered "Edge Driver" and a G9 single element lens. Output power is 1.5W+ @ 471nm.

The "Edge Driver" is a buck designed for safer cleaner wavelength pushing on Nichia 462nm diodes. It's assembled by hand, uses pricey components, and each driver takes about an hour to make, but it's meant to be the most efficient, clean, and stable 2.7A buck for pushing these new 462s closer to the edge of their "true death" curve (which is at 2.9 to 3.0 A), without concern for ripple pushing it over the edge. Heatsinked, this driver will stay locked on 2.7A, with little if any meaningful fluctuation. It can also run unheatsinked for 60 seconds, staying stable +/- 100mA. However, I strongly recommend heatsinking the driver to the host, and it has a large copper pad on the bottom for incredibly simple heatsinking, or you can even heatsink the inductor instead.

Strapped for cash with an upcoming vacation, but very nice driver and diode there. Whoever gets it will be a lucky person and will be excited to see this thing in a host and running. I still need to get one of these diodes in my collection at some point.

Beamshot?

Used the last of my fog juice taking a beamshot of my 561nm tonight. I didn't think to do one of this module.

I rarely use fog or smoke in any of my pictures and they usually come out pretty good

Wow! I would buy this in a second but my laser budget is at its max for the month. Is this driver something available on the market or did you make this one?
Congratulations to whomever get this its a very good deal.

Nope, not available on the market.

They're too much work to make, and too expensive to build, and I don't have any desire to sell drivers. I maintain that Lazeerer and others are basically doing the community a service by making drivers available for ~$20 each, because they aren't making much profit at it with their own time valued even conservatively.

I design drivers as a hobby because I need them for something, and then occasionally have a few more than I need, but mass producing them sounds like a nightmare ;) The Edge Driver is "over designed", using parts well under their max specs, and targeting ripple that's far lower than it actually needs to be.
