405/445 3 element glass lenses $7.50 ea

I'm currently down to 4 of these in stock. I have more on order. Hopefully they'll come in before I run completely out.

Pretty much as my sig says. These are equivalent to the aixiz lenses in performance and appearance, though from the last buyer I was told these actually performed a little better than the aixiz lenses he has.

This is just the first of many items I plan to start carrying.

Quantity price breaks are as follows:

1-9 - $7.50 each
10-49 - $7.25 each
50-99 - $7.00 each
100-199 - $6.75 each
200+ - $6.50 each

Prices are plus shipping and PP fees. If you have a large order, I accept money orders as well if you want to avoid the PP fees. I'll have to look in to google checkout as well.

I sat down today and figured out US domestic postage rates.
1-5 lenses $2
6-50 lenses $3
51-100 lenses $4 (first class mail won't go over 13 oz, which 100 lenses is right up against)
100+ lenses $6 (small flat rate box)

Paypal fees are the standard 3% + $0.30 for domestic US transactions, 4% + $0.30 for international payments.

The total cost for ONE lens, after shipping and pp fees, mailed first class to within the US, is $10.10. For Alaska, Hawaii, and international orders, tell me where you are when you PM so I can calculate shipping to you.

Here are some pics of the lenses, and as soon as I find a broad spectrum light source, i'll be able to post spectrograph results on what what the bandwidth of the AR coating is.

That certainly is a nice price. Unfortunately (for both of us) I recently bought those $10 3pc 3-element lenses off ebay.

What is the center wavelength coating for?
and.. is it similar to the o-like ones?

I unfortunately don't have any o-like lenses for reference, but I can tell you they're full threaded, not half threaded. They are physically identical, as far as housing, construction, and lens profiles, to the 405/445 lenses aixiz sells. The tests i've done on some samples from the current batch I have come in between 0% and +5% of the readings I get from the 3 element aixiz lenses I have, at both 405 and 445. So for all intents and purposes, the coatings are the same as the aixiz lenses. Beyond this, I don't really have any coating information on them until the spectrometer shows up, then I can run more extensive tests.

Hmmm.. interesting. Very interesting indeed! how a 445 performs on it? equally to a aixiz lens? With smaller wings and big output?

I'd get some soon. Oh btw the o-like ones are full threaded.. at least the 650nm lens are!


edit: Rayfoss has similar (I think) lens.. do you know they, qumefox?

I don't know about the o-like ones, but i'm fairly sure that the the aixiz, rayfoss, the ones that show up on ebay, and the ones I carry more than likely all come from the same manufacturer. I think when getting one of these lenses, it really just boils down to personal preference/price/warranty/how quick you want to get them as to who they're purchased from.

Oh yeah I forgot that point. The shipping times and so. I'm not used to it as shipping from china takes same time than shipping from USA, to here. Yeah for $2.50 more you can't go wrong, I'd prefer buying from you than from rayfoss. They have a good reputation but your is better

The o-like one looks like the lens I have in my lpc-815 build that I got off ebay a long time ago. heh.

Got my element lenses today qume :beer: They were well packaged, the invoice was included & they all arrived in perfect shape. I just tested one of them on one of my 445s and I have to say I agree with whoever said they thought the beam profile and dot was better than with using an aixiz. I'll definitely be placing another order with you in a few weeks, please don't run out of these anytime soon

Heh, glad you like them. Though I do admit to being surprised they have noticeable differences over aixiz lenses. I thus far had assumed they were identical to the aixiz lenses. I know they seem to be physically identical, down to the lens profiles, at least going by the eyeball, but I guess there could be subtle differences in lens shapes that might have a noticeable affect on the output, without the difference in the lens being visible to the eye.

And yes, unless my supplier goes under, I always plan to have these in stock, though I might temporarily run out if someone orders a bunch at once. I usually don't stock more than 50 of them at once but if demand goes way up i'll start keeping more on hand.

As soon as I get the LED's in to put together a broadband (380nm-700nm or so) light source, hopefully i'll be able test these with the spectrometer and post a loss graph for these, so people will know where the coatings are most efficient at.
