Hey guys just got my 3D printer up and running. I will be offering a print service. I am open to trade printing services for lasers or laser stuff as well. Let me know thanks.
I have a makerbot replicator 2. File format needs to be .stl
I'm interested in having something printed. Perhaps I can draw something up. Essentially what I need is a small handwheel about 1.5 inches in diameter that can mount to a shaft via set-screw?
I assume print time is dependent upon volume? I'm just trying to get a rough estimate on cost.
I think that's the reason this thread isn't getting more attention - there's no indication, ever rough, of pricing. Many people aren't going to jump into designing an stl file without some ballpark idea of whether the part they're thinking of making is a $5 or $50 job.
IMO, you should provide your pricing model.
Sounds fair enough guys. I will be charging $1.50 per gram of the final printed design. Plus shipping to you. This covers print time and the cost of the material. I think that is pretty reasonable to be honest.
