Re: 30x leadlight cases - 18 left

Ok, I didn't ask to have the insides removed, so we are OK right :)

To take the cap off, use a razor blade and force it in the crack and work it around, this will open the crack a little bit. Keep on working up slowly with thicker blades until the crack is about 1/3mm, at that point you can carefully wedge it off by tilting the blade sideways. Be careful not to let it slip and ruin the finish or your finger.

hey andy can you tell me what the existing sticker says? does it say <1mw? i want to get one but i'm just wary of australian customs who may get suspicious if it's over 1mw even if it is broken...

Thanks :)

Re: 30x leadlight cases - 18 left

ok a few tips when pressing the insides out the case.

1 - be very very caeful
2 - press a litle way down till the white plastic sleve reaches the bottom, then use plyers and pull it out.
3 - then carry on pressing the insides out

I got an extra tailcap. So if you are short one I can ship it seperately to the customer.

Got my 2 leadlights today and they look great, thanx Andy!

Now I just have to wait for the diodes from Stonetek... Then I can start building. :)

Re: 30x leadlight cases - 18 left

How many do you have left now, andy_con? Still 18?

Also, I got my 3, and they look great. One thing though, on 2 of them the button is jammed and won't press at all, it just doesn't move/click at all. I understand the lasers were broken and that's why they're so cheap, but in your experience, does taking apart and reinstalling the button as a component in the new laser free it up so that it can move and work properly? Thanks.
