Yeah, I'm suspicious of this post. The seller is not making any attempts to communicate with us or answer any questions. The picture of the laser is from a website.

An honest person who really wanted to sell this would not post such short sentences. I'm thinking it's a scammer, or someone REALLY bad at selling things lol.

No price listed=No sale here
It's as simple as that.
Nobody is going to fall for the "email me for price" bs.

CNI don't have prices on their site, and people seem happy to buy from them

Exactly, lots of companies especially chinese companies have NO PRICES on their sites, but yet people still buy from them. CNI, Viasho and Laser-Wave don't have prices on their sites.

You can't tell if it's a good laser or not until you try it. Don't just write it off as rubbish until it's been tested and proven.

I e-mailed the seller asking for prices, if they don't give a price , or give a price that is practically impossible, then maybe we can write them off as scammers.

This reminds me of the initial reaction to Qualifound (they've got a new name now, which I currently can't recall).

The sparsity of communication, and the reluctance to communicate here, publicly, may simply be due to language problems (not to mention different mentality) - after all, how good is your mandarin? Ok, you're not trying to sell something in China - so ok back, maybe he's a more expansive businessman than you

Are you familar with brands? There is a reason certain companies sell their products for a higher price, and that's quality. Like a real pair of jeans vs a fake pair that will tear wthin the week. There is being openminded and being so opened minded your brain falls out of your head. :p Besides the quality diode/RPSS ect.. manufacturers are already known.

Buy it and test it then if you are certain of this person's good intentions... The output test should be fun. Let me give him the translation in mandarin from babelfish first:

The lack of a price makes it seem extremely dicey. I don't know Chinese culture but I'm going to ask a Chinese friend born in China when I get a chance about the culture this I won't waste her time with.

Let's see if he can read this:

The main point is of course the readiness with which people here shout "scam". As they say, if you point a finger at someone, 4 fingers point back at you... or, a nailbiter first looks at another person's fingers...

The jeans I buy cost £6 from the local M&S not really good expensive jeans, but they've lasted years.

As you say, the quality diode and DPSS manufacturers are already known, but there will be others who come along , and if people just keep writing them off as scammers without testing them first, we're just going to end up losing out on what could be good deals.

That's what I've basically been saying , people here just shout " scam ! " without even finding out more about the product. People did this at first with Suzie who was selling the green laser modules, but when people tried out the product they turned out to be great. Now many people can build green pointers for themselves, and for cheap too !

Regards,

Adam

What a load of crap. They sell for higher prices because of the brand name. What do you have to say about the 0-like modules and the qualifound lasers then?

LISTEN TO THIS MAN.

The jeans example is a bad one. I buy Levi's jeans directly from the manufacturer at around 20 dollars each, some people here pay about 100 dollars for each pair. 80 dollars difference is quite a lot, don't you think ;)?

My ex used to talk like that. Wouldn't tell me anything directly. Why not just say what you are clearly insinuating? Why do you need to get vicious with people? :banghead:

Edit: Herr Doktor are you trolling me? Why am I so easily baited sometimes. Cute.

Correct! Any brand does extra cost money just paying for it. Last TV I bought was a samsung great TV. would you buy a television from an unknown company? I hate buying cheap junk and having it fall apart in a few weeks. Tends to happen with cheap tools, or electronics. If I knew a non-famous company that sold good stuff I'd buy of course. It all depends on the product.

I paid $20 for jeans that say levi's on them did not tear even when I fell on concrete. Another 5 dollar pair unknown brand shredded just from normal use after a few months. That's what I based the example on. A person would have to be nuts to pay $100 for jeans.

Just nuts not to give at least a price estimate, I don't care if you come from Mars. Probably just an ad what happend to the poster? We don't bite? Let's talk about your item for sale. :yh:
