I'm editing this thread because Trevor tested this laser and the output came out to about 200mW, with occasional peaks and drops (see graphs below). I originally had this listed as a 700mW, but just disregard that. I'm asking $250 for this laser. If you have any other questions, I guess you can PM Trevor, the laser is with him now.
Nice host. Key switch, safety interlock... all the usual. I will provide two keys, charger and battery.

The specs...

CE/FDA/ROHS
Wavelength: 532nm
Output power: 200mW
Beam Diameter: 1.2 mm @ aperture; Adjustable
Beam Divergence: 0.8-1.2mrad; Adjustable
Switch Type: On/off switch
Duty Cycle: Constantly on (Yes, yes, constantly on)
Power Source: 1 x 18650 Lion rechargeable battery
Expected Diode Lifetime: > 8000 hours

Thanks

I'd be willing to test output if you want.

Hey Trevor, thanks a lot. If there is somebody interested in my laser I will message you, and send the laser your way.

Just as a word of advice, you might have an easier time selling it if the power is verified.

Depending on what it actually outputs, might might have to nudge the price down. ><

Yes, take this as advice, Not trashing your thread.

But nobody is going to give you $900 just because you say it is 700mW, and on the other hand, you never even said what company it's from, where you bought it, anything like that. It could be a 100mW, in a nice host.

I would suggest having the output verified first, IR content verified, and at least say what company you bought it from.

Cause if it were like a CNI, then it would be worth way more than a boblaser or something like that.

Once again, this is just advice, don't take it the wrong way!

EDIT: You said it is constant on, (yes constant on), I'm taking that to mean it has no duty cycle what so ever? So I can turn it on, and leave it on until the batteries die? I don't think a 700mW 532, or any laser for that matter, can do that. But correct me if I am wrong anybody

Thanks for the advice Trevor and jakeGT. You guys are right, it would be a good idea to get this thing tested, so the buyers will feel more at ease. Trevor, I'll send you a PM in a second so you can fill me in on what I need to do. Again, thanks guys, I appreciate the advice.

Bump!

So, here's the latest news. I received the laser, and ran a test last night. It came up around 290mW and held steady.

I just ran another test a few minutes ago (in warmer conditions). It peaked at 500mW and quickly dropped to 380mW. It slowly rose to 420mW before dropping to 150mW and coming to rest at 200mW.

I detected no significant IR output.

I'm going to do more testing tonight to try and figure out a solid figure.

I can either ship this back to ClassFour, or ship it straight to a buyer. I'll include a couple high quality 18650's when I ship it.

Which meter did you test this on?

My Kenometer Pro running LumenOS. :)

Was wondering if it was an alpha... 532's are best tested
on a meter that takes a quick reading. Otherwise you dont get
to see the 'true' peak.

If you get the chance, you may want to add a graph. Gives
a better idea on output stability..

I'm going to run more tests tonight. I actually haven't implemented serial streaming into LumenOS yet (just onscreen stuff). So, as soon as my 14500's finish charging, I'm going to get that little bit of code written and stream some readings to my PC. :)

Re: 700mW Green Laser 532nm Adjustable $900

I ran another few tests, on a fully charged battery. I did a 60 second test and got these results, but noticed that the output dropped significantly at the end:

So I did a five minute test, and got these results:

http://safelasers.org/photos/ClassFour/Test2.png

Output is quite good very briefly, but then drops to 150-200mW. I wouldn't recommend going past five minutes on-time. The output was climbing again, but I did not want to run it longer to find out where it would settle.

This output was unfortunately significantly less than I was expecting. :(

As the power curve shows, the laser is quite mode hoppy. It seems to favor near-TEM00, and a mix between that and a four-lobed pattern. Sometimes it switches between the two rather quickly. The battery tube and tailcap also tend to get warm during runs - much faster than the head. I'm interested to know why that occurs.

Again, when I ship this back out I'll include a couple nice Sony batteries. :)

I've noticed the same thing with my 400mW O-like. Although I haven't done any runs over 90 seconds.

Hey jakeGT,

I checked out the graphs Trevor posted. I'll get back to you with a price once I figure out how much I want to sell it for at this point, in light of all this new info. I want to put out a fair price without going too low on my end.
