Hey guys,

I might be willing to sell my >1W Wicked Lasers Krypton, is there anyone interested? I'll post some pics later (partly beacuse I have yet to take them, and partly beacuse I need to figure out how to post them :p) It's in like new condition, used for a couple hours. Label says manufacturing date was June 2011. I'm saving up for a LPM with this money, so sorry but I can't tell you anything more specific about it's power other than qualitative observation. Beam is very visible in bright sunlight, burns basically everything (black). Post or PM me if interested

EDIT: If interest is very low I may not need to bother putting up pics :p

EDIT #2: Quick shots from my phone, see post #6 about the last shot and elementary pricing

EDIT #3: IF YOU HAVE NOT OWNED A LASER BEFORE PLEASE LEAVE. A WL Krypton of any power is far too strong for any person's first laser.

Pictures (with your name & date on a piece of paper next to said laser )will help sell it so why wouldn't you?

im guessing based off the sig its a 532

i absolutely love this:

NOT EXACTLY A WL FAN, BUT...
808nm WL LE Evo Pro
650nm WL Spyder II RX
650nm WL Pulsar Pro
650nm Dinky Chinese 1mW Keychain
593.5nm WL LE Evo Pro
532nm WL Executive Pro
532nm WL Krypton 1W x2
532nm WL Core x a lot
532nm WL Evo Pro SOLD
532nm WL E3 LOST!
445nm WL Arctic 1W
405nm WL Elite (Blu-Ray)

well that's 13+ WL and 1 Chinese laser but not really a WL fan? if your not a WL fan why do you keep buying them?

as said above, without pictures you will get no interest. potential buyers want proof the laser exists and it is yours. plus with lasers, as you know, condition is everything

Wicked lasers made an 808nm ? No way? I think he removed the crystals/filter from a 532nm...very dangerous

Do you have IR safety glasses? Or just all the WL laser shades cause they won't protect you from IR.

Sorry to get off topic, just worried about your safety

Ok good to know at least some people are interested...

If no one was interested it'd be a waste of my time posting pics. Yes, the WL krypton is 532nm green, DPSS. It was advertised as >1W, I don't have an LPM so I can't verify it. Based on burning abilities/speed and sheer brightness of the beam and dot, I would assume that it's at least somewhere in the 1W range. I'll post a few pics shortly, any photo requests?

Jakeyboii,

WL made an Evolution Pro Limited Edition model that was 808nm. Probably they just took out the crystals of an Evo Pro, but what the heck, it's pretty powerful. Yeah I have IR goggles, OD 4+ (at least that's what it says). It's fine, I appreciate your concern but I got it under control :p

EDIT: Pics are up. I included a picture of the Krypton having a beam artifact, not sure why that's there but it's been there ever since I received the laser. It's not a huge deal, but something you guys should be aware of. As for pricing... I originally got this for $999, due to current market pricing at $799 and the beam artifact+a couple hours of usage+not exactly the best demand I'd be ideally looking for around $600-$700, possibly even $500 (again, this will contribute directly to a good LPM, thanks guys). You can bargain with me, but I'm Asian... GL :D haha if you guys want more pics post or PM me and I'll do some custom shots. Oh and side note to those unfamiliar to WL, the Krypton uses "thermo-electric cooling/regulation" (as it was advertised back then) and uses "SmartSwitch 2.0 integrated mode-switching technology"

EDIT #2: Oh and livinloud, if you can't tell, I'm actually not much of a WL fan. I just gave them more than one try :p I'm well aware that many companies have laser products much better than WL, but was just like what the heck, their limited edition lasers were pretty good deals

That's one strong artifact...

Can you compare this with your other krypton, both at full power?

I still recommend getting it LPMed. There are plenty of people in the US willing to do it for you, found some LPM'ers for you thread. Shouldn't cost too much to ship to them, just make sure its packaged well because it's a DPSS laser...

ZRaffleticket,

My other Krypton has extensive usage... all of my 1W laser needs have been on the other Krypton. This one's been the one looking nice and pretty on the shelf haha I wouldn't think you'd want my other Krypton, but if you want a used Krypton over a like new one aside from that artifact, I guess I'm not complaining. I'd like to keep that one due to all my experimenting stuff being on that one, I guess you build an emotional connection or something :p push comes to shove, I might sell it, but who knows, probably not. If you give a really good price for it, then hmm...

Pics included. In the dot shot, dot on the left is the one I'm selling, dot on the right is my personal use Krypton. I picked the lesser powered Krypton as my personal use :p that having been decided by a few quick burning tests. It also has a slightly rectangular-ish dot, the one I'm offering to you guys has a true circular dot (with the artifact, sadly) :/ I guess you can't have everything with WL lol

EDIT: Just noticed... LASER SMILEY FACE :)

Just said that to put up a comparison is all ;) ~1W won't make much of a difference against my 532nm, I'm a wavelength guy too haha

I'd still consider getting it LPMed, guarantee that'll bring a more decisive buyer.

Hmm... I don't really want to spend much when my purpose is to save much :p if it gets bad then maybe, but I'm really hoping I can just close a deal. I mean, it seems to be par with what you'd expect a 1W laser to be able to do... so I'd give it a minimum of 700mW. Don't forget it could actually be above 1W, WL had those lasers too :D

More meaningless words have rarely been uttered

Peace,
dave

Sorry but I don't have a LPM... I can only use qualitative measurements :p if you don't believe me then I'm sorry, there isn't much I can do about that

I didn't say that I didn't "believe" you
You may honestly think that you said something of value
Unfortunately, what it "looks like" to you (or anyone else) is absolutely meaningless

How may mW would you estimate this laser to be
nova2.jpg

How about this one?
nova3.jpg

No -- wait. It's a trick question. They are both the same laser
Wider beams "look" brighter
Thinner beams burn better
The "steadiness" of your hand and the color of the target greatly affect burning

One CANNOT "estimate" the output of as laser by visual ques or how it burns stuff

How powerful is the laser lighting this match?

How about 35mW?

Get the laser measured by an LPM
It is the ONLY way to be able to say what the output is

Peace,
dave

Not to argue with you danguin, but by focusing it to the same distance using the same material, you can compare two lasers off of each other. You can also guesstimate it based on similar tests of LPM'ed lasers online, so I wouldn't expect you to guess a 700mW laser and have it turn out to be like 50mW. Then again, I'm not saying it's very accurate or reliable, it just gets you into the right ballpark. Anything more specific, I totally agree with you. Bottom line, no flame war or anything: I'm quite sure my Kryptons aren't one of those way underspec lasers that you might find with WL back then
