Looks to me like reflection, but you sir have just suggested a brilliant Idea. Drill a couple holes in the aixiz module before the lens and let some of that wasted light out, giving the laser a cool glow and a heart of brilliant light...

Hello. i am just getting out of the shop.
board.jpg

The drivers and battery's showed up a bit late but i hope to have everything out very very soon.
These drivers are working great. going to let some run for a while but initial test are showing a HUGE improvement.
The old cr123a battery's are not "bad" they work well with these drivers.
The new 18350 are better but only a bit.
Sorry for the absence on saturday if you pm me i should be able to give you all your tracking numbers.
PhysX: Odd i remember responding to the message you sent me on the 16th, but it does not show it in my sent box.
Im sorry about that.
Some new pics off all your units will be posted tonight.
just got to fine tune and let the artic silver compound set.
Also i only have a short supply a different but similar drivers.
They are 5 mode.
Mode: High 1.5A±100mA;
Mid 850mA±50mA,
Low 300mA±10mA;
Fast Strobe 950mA±50mA;
SOS:1.5A±100mA
i bought them for the SOS mode that way if someone ever questions why i have them i can simply say its an emergency beacon.
But i only have 8 units of the modes all the rest are only full on or off drivers.
if you would like to change to a mode driver, pm and we will work that out.

Thank you for responding and updating us all. I did not receive that PM (the last one I received was on 11/9), but none of the ones I have sent are in my sent box either, must be a bug in the forum.

Never seen this driver, do you know of any that will do higher than 1.5A, like up to 1.8? I'm thinking about a 2W build, I could always pay extra....

Man, that heatsink in the first pic is a piece of work. Well done!!

I just want to let everyone know that is quite a lot of machining, this is a very good price.

I know, I just wish their was a dual flex version that was coin moded and could hit 1.8A....
Then I would be a happy camper.... Until the next thing came out ;)

the driver can be set to 2a BUT you re pushing the limit on multiple parts. you are better off staying within the 1.5-1.7a range.

Yeahh definitely, I wouldn't doubt of buying that one. Flexdrive sounds lot more endurable and tough for me :))

what would you be pushing?

It would certainly cause the price to go up. Two flexdrives are $46 and say if you used a AMC7135 or similar linear driver they can be had for around $1.50 each.

That helps him keep the cost to you down.;)

Not that these are AMC7135's they look a little nicer. Just an example.

Also he would have to already be setting them to a little over 1.6A to achieve 1.5W with an Aixiz lens anyway so squeezing an extra 2A out of it would give you around 1.7W.(diode efficiency will vary)
