The process is called 'sealed bidding' And when it's used in the real world, usually even the seller (or buyer, if the bids are for a purchase) doesn't know what the bids are until after the final submit date, then all the bids are opened at once.

Not very practical online, but that's how it works in the real world, especially dealing with schools and other government entities looking to purchase stuff.

I guess I'll stick with the way I'm doing it now until I have everything listed / posted. It seems to be okay, I just don't want people to get mad at each other for out bidding them.

Oh yeah, add another 10 18650 cells to the lot. Found another small box with cells in it. I'll update to original post with brand / model information tonight.

So I'm at 56 18650 cells as of now.

Also, I'm still getting PM's asking me to sell items separately, I do not want to break this lot up, so please don't ask.

Put it in the OP in BIG letters that you won't break the items up. That should help.

Update on 18650 Cells / counts:

2 - SF US18650GR - SONY
18- ICR18650-26C - SAMSUNG
12 - ICR18650-28A - SAMSUNG
24 - LGDBZ18650 - LG

Total: 56 cells - I still have a few more boxes to go through and I know I have more so keep an eye out. Also, each cell will come in a small poly bag for shipping safety. If you don't know what a poly bag is, google images it.

To answer your question, the cells are new. Some have only been tested with a power cycle (charge and then discharge) to test the cells. I've assembled some of the cells in pack arrays and then broke that array to sell the cells as singles. So some cells might have pack glue / tape on them which can be wipped off.

I'm sure a few users on this forum can vouch for these cells, I've already sold over 200 as singles.

Okay, so we're still at $200.

If I get an offer of $300 before Monday. I'll close the auction and ship everything as soon as payment clears through PayPal.

I just got an offer of $260 for the lot including an additional 12 Samsung 2600mAh cells.

If there are no higher offers by Midnight Sunday EST time I'm going to close the lot and sell it for the $260 offer.

I've had a few PM's asking who / why I've gotten an offer of $260. I'm not certain the member wants me to mention their username / name so I won't unless they say it's okay.

As far as the additional 12 cells, these were to be added to the lot regardless of what bid I had at the moment.

As it is, bid stands at $260 with the cell count to 68 plus everything else mentioned in the lot.

mmmmm you ask in an earlier post that ALL bids need to be posted-- you seemed to have no probs telling us about another PM bid and as this is not exactly your collection of old porn mags( j/k no offence meant) i see no problem with all bidders playing on an even field-- I have a Pl-C FS and I would of course like to get as much as possible but would never consider pitting LPF members against each other in this fashion.

I hereby make a public offer of 201$

the $260 bidder can step fwd if he wants. just my dos centavos

The user is FlaminPyro, I left his name off the offer because he's been going through a lot the last few days and I wanted to respect his privacy. My intentions were only that. Not to "pit" any users against each other. I do understand how I posted other usersnames and how it looks odd. Nothing I can do about that now other than apologize for confusion and pissing users off.

Its sad how everybody instantly thinks negatively.

If anybody wishes to withdraw their offers feel free.

based upon that and my math of 56 plus another 12 18650s I offer the 300$ which would mean this offer is now CLOSED--yahoooo
